Ok, maybe it is time to call my therapist. Because I am that way with people under those circumstances, but as far as having a huggy warm family, er I have no idea what that would be like.We didn't hug much in my family either that I can remember growing up. I tend to naturally hug a coworker, neighbor, friend who's giving me some bad news of someone dying, etc. One gal who I used to just say Hi to at the dog park was without one of her dogs one day, when I asked her about it, she had already been crying and told me the story...of course I hugged her immediately, and we had a talk. If I get together with family members or friends I haven't seen in a long time, a greeting hug is common.
Of course, there are several types of hugs ...
- the "family" hug
- the "friend" hug
- the "long-time-no-see" hug
- the "goodbye" hug
- the "goodbye-I'm-going-to-jail" hug
- the "pet" hug
- the "Geeze-you're-so-hot-but-I-know-I'm-supposed-to-be-just-a-friend" hug :uncomfortableness:
I do believe it does a body good!!![]()
