Not around much due to migraines

k, I got confused. The bottle says MCG's 300 so there are 250 pills in the bottle, so I divided 300 by 250 and got 2.5. I am not making good sense, my brain is not with it. I don't know, I took 2 because that is what I take to help me sleep on occasion.

Denise, don't be hard on Phil, he was just making a joke, and was honestly wishing you well! Go back and read his post again when you feel better tomorrow. It was very nice really, he hoped that you feel better, and had good luck with finding a job. He's a good guy, you just misunderstood. :)

My bottle is orange, it came from Walmart most likely. It is put out by Sundown Naturals. It is called Melatonin. Directly under the name are the numbers 300, then directly after that is MCG all in caps Then it says patented dosage. I checked the back of the bottle to see if they had made a typo, but they made the "typo" on the back as well, mcg is listed under ingredient amount.

That's all I know. It does say it is is a "vegetarian formula" so maybe they took the beef out that was weighing it down.
 
It just means you have 300mcg of melitonin in each tablet.....regardless of everything else!
300mcg is 0.3mg; a very small dose...but if it works for you....
we do not sell melitonin OTC here....so I can't comment a lot more..
 
I experienced migraines for several years. Excruciating pain that was only relieved with medication (imitrex) and only then if I took it soon enough. Most episodes were a day or two in duration. Then, a month passed with no episode followed by another month....haven't experienced a full episode in years. Not a clue as to why, but thankful nonetheless.
 
Hey, no worries, I just sat and ate them like candy lastnight!! Slept like a log, of course there were some reports of a "humanoid" wandering around the neighborhood shining cars with her nightie, couldn't a been me though, I was snoozin, and only on one bottle!! It's actually a bit confusing, because they put the "300mcg" under "% Daily Value" when it should be under "Amount per Serving".

... and who puts "Amount per Serving" on a supplement label? Viv, you ever run across something like that? I think it might be because the FDA categorizes it as a food supplement, not a hormone.

And that IS a very small amount. Typical doses run 1-3mg.
 
So I guess I'm ok with taking the whole bottle. Funny though, I started seeing some rats coming out of my walls, and then, a bat started dive-bombing them. That's when I got out my trusty, bazooka. My supplements have amount per serving, because sometimes it's one capsule, and sometimes 6. Found out the hard way when I was younger and thought I was getting a good deal on a supplement, only to find out that I had to take 6 for that serving dosage. Was no longer cheap.

Nwlady, glad you still have your sense of humor, you must be feeling better, I'm happy for you.
