2023 - How's the Weather Where You Are?

The weather was quite mild last week..in the high 50's, low 60's and I even saw where it almost reached 70 in New York City. Our weather is usually in line with theirs. The temps dipped over the last couple of days so that it felt more like winter. The high today is forecast to be 61 and 48 tomorrow with rain for three days straight.

Good heavens, it is supposed to be in the 80's for the next couple of days. I just can't stand it, looks like we are going to skip the last of winter, God forbid, not have any spring. Let's jump straight in the he** of a Texas summer.
It might not do it that way, despite that it seems totally like it will. ;) It might, instead, go back-and-forth, for a while, which might be a different sort of Spring, but might not just skip Spring altogether, to remain a constant, extra hot, from now on.

For example, we had a mild winter, but then a few weeks of cold and snow, to begin the month of February; winter came late, but came.

Then, while still February, it turned warm again, like your area,
(very surprising, way up here in the Northern USA, near the Canadian border )

BUT......
Although today it is warm enough to have the windows open,
we are expecting a wintery storm, coming in on Wed/Thurs/Friday, this week:
with a drop back below freezing, and "plowable snow" as they call it, when it is more than one can ignore till it melts away on its own.

Back-and-forth..... Don't know if the Spring or summer will come-to-stay early, or not....it's too soon to know.
Here, anyway, perhaps it is different, and very likely is very different in Texas!:giggle:(y):)

Are others having back-and-forth weather extremes, this year?

Right now, it's 50°, and we're having a sun shower! The sun is brightly shining while it's pouring rain! ☀️🌦️

Down on the coast of Texas, we've run into a heat wave this week... over 80 everyday now.
That's just too hot for February!

It sure is! Do they expect it to break, anytime soon, and go back to normal, or normal-ish? (Pre-SPring, or very early Spring, on the Gulf coast?)

Some cold wintery air is coming down to us, from Canada, tomorrow, starting late on Wednesday.
But it probably will not make it all the way to Texas, eh?
🌬️💨❄️😁

Well, you probably would not like the foot of snow, that is, most likely coming with it. :D

@Kaila .. this is a weather map for this week - they are splitting the country into two sections. COLD -northern plains and NE - HEAT WAVE- south of that storm.

... oh, and this one is called "Olive" .. I never could figure out why and when every rain or snow storm gets a name now.?

I am in that Heat Wave, in the orange, according to this map;
So that would be the unusually warm, mild weather we've had, this past week, which was giving way to chilly today, and will bring cold and significant snow, starting tomorrow, late Wednesday, for this coming week.

But,
@Pinky 's weather in Canada, did not get the expected snow, so I wonder if we actually will.
Hmmmm. I think Toronto is not directly North of here. :geek::LOL:;)
We'll see.:giggle:

Does your building have any back-up power, for if/when the power goes out, Marie?
Mine doesn't, but the power outages are rare, for this particular building.
They do happen, though. A handful of years ago, I think they did install a back-up generator, for one community room, which I don't know if it's working, and I myself, cannot use that room.
