We're having a late Summer heat wave....with daytime highs in the upper 80's/low 90's. We haven't had a decent rain in the past month. My outdoor work is limited to a couple of hours in the mornings, and back in the house by noon.

We are still in the heat of summer down on the Texas coast ... any day that stays below 100 degrees is a nice day.
We do get some nice breezes at times, and an occasional rain storm these days. That all helps ...

Probably far enough north that the storm turned out to sea before reaching here.

According to the forecast, our stretch of unseasonably warm and sunny weater will come to an end on Friday as cooler, rainy conditions move in. We tied an old record yesterday:

Very overcast today, rain forecast for tomorrow. Yesterday, it was hot and humid as we walked & played with our grandpup at the dog park. There was a nice breeze coming off the lake, thank goodness.

We had a day of rain, with a record total locally. Today opened sunny, went to partly cloudy, and now more rain is on the way. Much cooler than last weekend, and the leaves have begum to fall. Even if it warms again soon I think the trees know the tipover point can no longer be postponed.

A little frustrating. We can't burn leaves and the paid pickup service has weekly limits and halts service the same date as always. So we'll have a late leaf-fall with no way to get rid of them all. Looks like I'll need to stage leaf piles out back until the Spring or pay a second time to have somebody else take part of them.

Grr.
