2023 - How's the Weather Where You Are?

We had some rain and thunder that woke us up about 2AM, then it turned to snow. It stopped about an hour ago, and we got 5" of heavy wet snow. I'll be going out soon to shovel the decks and steps.

The weather here is scary. Tornado watch...but only a watch so far...heavy rain, thunder. Smells like tornado. Temp is 69F.

Dodged yet another tornado bullet here. One that hasn't yet been confirmed touched down just a couple of miles away and tore the entire side off a warehouse. We'll probably see plenty of downed trees on the way to the doc's office in the morning.

Geez. It's not even tornado season here yet. That's still a month or so away.

an inch of snow on ground temps in the 30's, with snow showers
This is the 1st time we have had any snow since xmas blizzard. We've,been spoiled with unseasonably warm temps past 10days temps in the mid 40's which melted most of xmas snow

i think the photo will give you a clue. Not as much as the Lake effect storms in Northern states, but somewhat problematic anyway. Temps actually above freezing, if cloud cover wasn't so thick and snow so heavy it wouldn't be piling up like it is. Shortly, i will be bundling up and going out to clean car off and move it to head of drive. Will also have to clear snow at head of drive (thankfully they usually plow road well)) so can get DD to work at 2:30 at motel she manages. She'll probably stay the night. Our power has glitched twice already and i'll want to conserve battery power on Kindle. So may not be on much, Tho i'll try to get back on sometime later.

Oh, we're at almost 7,000 ft ourselves and that eastern horizon usually displays several much higher ridges.

-12° celsius and sunny outside... listening to some smooth tunes and working on my next book project. View of the park with piles of snow (brrrr)... another day just like any other day in semi-retired mode. Have a great day everyone!!
