70 F this morning, warming to 82. Rain on the way overnight and through to Wednesday night. Remnants of Beryl that may bring 2 to 4 inches of rain in a very short time, a band of high density might see 4 to 6+ inches.

Beryl went just about 20 miles south of us. We are glad because our basement had a foot of water in it a week ago that we syphoned out with a garden hose. I could see from the radar that it would flood again if it hit us. Close call.

Come get some. There’s lots. We picked a bunch of flat rocks to make a natural looking path around our house. We aren’t supposed to so….. The rocks we picked are bigger and flatter.

Just waiting for the rain to start .. it is very dark out there this morning. I guess this is a stay-at-home day.

65 F this morning, high expected around 73. Wet, wet, wet with rain all night and continuing. Very gusty as well. Flood concerns continue and I have water pooled that I'd rather not see out there. We got something like 3.5 inches so far with more rain on the way yet, maybe another 2 to 3 inches.

Some sizable tree branches but no large limbs down from the winds. Not in my yard but adjacent.

It was already hot at 7:00 this morning. It is now 9:30 a.m. and it's 83° with a real feel of 95. By 1:00 p.m. it's supposed to be 90° with a real feel of 101, which is actually a little cooler than yesterday. It is also quite humid.

Gasp...no relief. There was a "splash & dash" rainfall this morning, but again, didn't relieve the heat and humidity. The heat index (a.k.a. "feels like") right at the moment is 101F. I have blistering afternoon headaches when it stays so hot so long. Leaving the windows open last night didn't help a bit - temp in house didn't get below 82F.

In 4 months I'll be griping how cold it is.

Well our forecast for today has been so wrong. It was supposed to be lashing down most of the day......not had a blooming drop so far. Probably come when the forecast is for dry weather.
