We're at 33 and changing over to rain. Was supposed to get to 40 F but it doesn't look like it will get there. Some wind expected, but we rarely have a power outage. I can only think of one time we suffered more than blinkouts for a decade.

1C, cloudy, rain/snow mix. We decided not to take the car out today .. could have been slick out there, though the city is very good about clearing/salting/sanding.

Right now it's raining real hard. It's been raining since the afternoon. N.J. saw severe flooding a couple of weeks ago and more is predicted again for my area as well as the rest of northeast N.J. and parts of N.Y. The high was 54 (real feel 45) and more rain is forecast for tomorrow with a high of 51 (real feel 41). Last night, our governor declared a state of emergency and PSEG sent out notices about preparing for the impending storm, with possible power outages due to the high winds that are expected.

We are in the low 30s here with rain/snow mix possible, but they lifted the high wind warnings to just a wind advisory.

The schools east of me in the next county, have a two hours delayed opening.

I heard a few MV accidents in my county on the Police scanner, last night and a downed tree blocking Rt 21, but nothing serious.

Then I heard about 20 miles away that a 90 year old man fell on his porch deck . Our wood decks can get very slippery with even little bit of ice. Why would anyone that old be out on their deck at night in the middle of bad weather? Maybe to call their dog back in? Reminds me to get more rock salt.............

Just under freezing, a little additional snow but still not much yet. Windshield scraping today though instead of brushing, so Winter is really here for now.

Right now its -20C (-4F) and wind from the N at 24 km/h so we have a wind chill of -32C. Overnight we had some snow don't know how much because we also had very strong NE winds at 34 with gusts up to 50 km/h. So there is a pile of snow on one place and nothing on the other. It will keep snowing on off for the next several days and quite windy from the N. The polar vortex is here and will keeps us in the -20/-27C during the day and -29/-32C overnight for the rest of the week at least and of course with the N wind the wind chill is much higher. So we have constantly risk of frostbite!!!

We are expecting temperatures down to 10 degrees in a few days....I'll need to make room in the garage to get the lawn mower in and beef up all the outside water faucet protection.
