A Nice Walk ( with photos )

Two weeks ago we drove to Newfoundland with a 6.5 hour ferry boat ride. I didn’t take any pictures because it was nighttime by the time we got there. We drove for 8 hours to our destination. We drove there due to a death in the family. My mother in law died and we volunteered to go there to help empty the house. We sold some stuff, threw out some stuff, gave away some stuff and kept some stuff. It took us two weeks but we managed. A week ago my sister in law and father in law went to Ontario. My sister in law asked her father to move in with her which we were all relieved by.

Anyway today we drove during the day so I took a few pictures. Gander NFLD is one place I took a picture of. For one, it’s where my husband was born and two, it’s world known for being hero’s in the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Gender NFLD took all the access plane passengers that were left in the sky when the announcement was made for all planes to land. Here is a write up about it.

The lakes that you live near, are they good for fishing? Sport, or commercial?

I love all your pictures. :)
The lakes and rivers we live near are stocked with lots of fish. The lakes around my father in laws house have trout in them but nothing like Cape Breton Island. They are small trout and not easy to catch. Cape Breton has the best trout fishing according to my husband. He actually brought over some fresh, frozen trout for his father.

It’s good to be back. Today we walked on one of our regular walks through the forest. It’s snowy and beautiful looking. At least it is to us.

The township add some snow shovels here and there for of there’s too much snow.

The roads are clear of snow but the trees along the sides of the roads are snow covered. IMG_7327.jpeg
Have a lovely day folks.

P.S. if you like being called love, sweetheart or hon often, go visit Newfoundland.

Wonder if I'd be more often called a hon, luv or sweety. The latter I call my dog all the time and she never growls or fusses about it.

My aunt in S Carolina was like that too. But don’t fooled if she says “bless his little heart”. That is a prelude to a criticism.
It’s definitely something one needs to get used to. I’m sure not use to strangers calling me sweetheart, honey, or luv. Plus I’m not fond of strangers calling my husband those types of things either.

It’s been 6 days since I’ve been for a walk. My husband and I both came down with killer colds. He got sick first, then I followed suite. Today I finally felt well enough to go for a walk. It was only 3 kilometres .

It felt good to get outside. Something that I noticed while sick. Not only did my physical health get weaker but so did my mental health. My mental health really took a nose dive. I wasn’t as active on the site as a normally was.

Thank you for sharing. It even looks cold! I hope both of you are over the cold.

Today was -10, felt like -18. We dressed up warm and went on an atv trail. My husband said this brook/river would be a perfect river for trout fishing. Apparently trout like cold, tea coloured water.

We got some good shots of a fox today. It looked like it was scouting / hunting mice or something. He didn’t care one bit that we were there taking photos of him. IMG_9709.jpegIMG_9711.jpegIMG_9710.jpeg

And Castles. I could spend months traveling from one castle to another in the UK. Most of Europe as well. When I was in the Amy I was stationed Frankfurt, Germany for a year, and I went to about 40 of them.
Someday I’d love to go back there. I was born in England ; moved here when I was 5 years old.

You went to 40 castles in the uk?
Do you have any photos ?
