A Nice Walk ( with photos )

Look at all those boats. That’s quite the harbour Kadee. I hope you had a lovely lunch.
We jokingly say it’s where all the poor people live in Adelaide.😆😆😆

It’s a marina and the boats owners buy their “ parking spot” for their boats …there are some huge boats there …

Adelaide city area …..is not on the water …this area is approx 15 km out of the city ……while it’s still suburbs of Adelaide it’s located on a Peninsula called Lefevre .

There’s a harbour about 15 minutes from where we live and there’s some fine looking boats. Some of the boats come all the way across the Atlantic Ocean. The blue nose was there last autumn.

Today we left an hour earlier than we usually do. The snow stayed which I was happy about. I like the snow and our dogs love it, especially our youngest one. We went on the same trails as we did yesterday which is just over 3 kilometres.

I've missed how different and beautiful everything can look under some snow. Haven't lived near since the beginning of high school.

Hey Mark, I have a different angle today that shows the path going up the hill. The snow really makes the path look pretty. We are expecting to get snow tonight and on Sunday.
Actually we are expecting freezing rain.

Today we got a good picture of an owl.

That’s very nice. How long is the trail?
It takes about 2 hours to complete it at a brisk walk. But "briskly walking" defeats my purpose. I have placed weatherproof (yes it rains a lot here in Oregon!) chairs at two places I like to meditate. My fav spot is next to the creek ... every summer I sit in the creek ... let the water pass over me ... feel like I am mother nature's womb.

Wow. How big is your property? We have a creek running through the corner of our property. It has a waterfall along it.

10 acres. Has old growth cedars and Douglas Firs. Wow you have a water fall ... it has been shown that waterfalls have therapeutic effects due to the ions they produce.
Ten acres is nice. You have Douglas firs ? I love the smell of them.
Yes we have a small waterfall. It’s not very big but I love the sound it makes.
I do walking mediation on our property.
I find it easier than sitting meditation.

It is for me too though if it were tough to grow and rare I imagine I'd have to have it.
It was thick in the creek where I took the photo at Lyndoch @MarkD I'm surprised the local council don’t spray it
I looked in the list of banned plants in SA but it’s not listed https://pir.sa.gov.au/__data/assets/pdf_file/0003/242715/Plants_prohibited_from_sale_in_SA_2020.pdf
unless it’s under a different name that we know it by ..Morning Glory

I was surprised to see what we call foxtail fern ….banned in SA ( it’s an Asparagus)
I still see that being sold in plant nurseries.

My grandparents had that Ferny type of Asparagus growing in their yard for years and even tho my cousin had the house pulled down years ago I’d bet my last dollar it’s still surviving the harsh conditions on the vacant block of land.

….banned …in SA Foxtail Asparagus Fern …..I’ve never had one like this ( photo off net ) I can understand it being banned the roots of Asparagus ferns are dense and hard to kill

This owl was on the electricity wires at the side of the road. It was very easy to take a picture of. It didn’t fly away when we got out of the car. He/ she just sat there. Mark was right in saying it was very photogenic. It sure was.

Today we went for a walk in the snow. IMG_7073.jpegIMG_7075.jpegIMG_7078.jpeg
