I thought Bob Saget's death was sad. Poor guy fell and hit his head in his hotel room, stumbled to the bed and later died.
Poignant lyrics for sure. Co written by David Foster and Carole Bayer Sager@Bretrick I love Peter Allen's Fly Away, which is on my Pop playlist. I often refer to the following lines of the song to describe what having my son did for me.
"Your an anchor, I'm a kite
You're what gets me through the night
You keep me steady and on course
Till I found you I was lost
You're the earth and I'm the sky
And sometimes if I go too high
Then you pull the string that pulls me back
If not for you I might lose track
And I might fly away, I might fly away and go my own way......"
Just so ya know...that going too high does not refer to me doing drugs which I did not do.My being a mother anchored me and gave me purpose.
I kind of thought he wouldn't last too much longer after his beloved wife passed.Yes, it was 2003 when Johnny Cash passed away at the age of 71. However, he had a great life, made hundreds of records and enjoyed spending a huge pile of money. We all die sooner or later; many sooner thane they think!
Out in the West Texas town of El PasoMy favorite male singer died of a heart attack, December 8,1982, no more songs from Marty Robbins.
... and Richie Valens, The Big Bopper, but almost Dion. Dion won the coin toss for the empty seat on the plane, but ultimately decided to give it to Richie, because he just couldn't justify the expense. A strange twist is what kept Dion alive to become as popular as he ended up being. When I first heard Don McLean's American Pie, the reference to Buddy Holly's death touched a nerve.
"But February made me shiver
With every paper I'd deliver
Bad news on the doorstep
I couldn't take one more step."
"I can't remember if I cried
When I read about his widowed bride
But something touched me deep inside
The day the music died."
Bruce Willis is fighting for life as we speak. '12 Monkeys', I think, is just one example of extreme acting skillsWhen Gregory Hines died, I cried. Gregory always reminded me so much of my cousin Ronnie in appearance and the personality of his character in Running Scared was so much like my cousin's. Ronnie drowned when he was 26. Lee Thompson Young's (Rizzoli & Isles) death really upset me too. He was my favorite young actor. I know I'd be upset if we lost David Muir (World News Tonight), Queen Latifah, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Tom Selleck, Donnie Wahlberg, Bruce Willis, the GMA team, Oprah and of course my cousins actors Keith David and Kendra Johnson.
In the music world Frankie Beverly, The Whispers twin brothers Walter and Scotty, MIchael E and Jesse Gold. I'm sure there are others, some of whom I don't even realize now. I felt very bad about Treat Williams death for a few days after he was killed. And now I'm seeing him play a recurring character on Blue Bloods.
