Are You A Homebody, or a Social Butterfly?

Thanks, Trish. Awhile back, I volunteered for our museum. One senior group I was in took day trips but not anymore, and yet, they have plans next month to go to a musical. And my church has a food distribution program once a month I'm vounteering for. One friend volunteers at the hospital but I can't handle that emotionally. Every Sunday after church, I eat out with a group ranging from a few to about 6. So, it's a small town, but we find opportunnities.
That sounds good @MACKTEXAS I agree about the hospital though, I couldn't handle that either.

Enjoy Church and your Sunday meal tomorrow (y)

More of a homebody these days.. When my husband was still living, we kept a fairly active social life. Enjoyed going out.
I still like to go out with my family, kids and grandkids, but it is a different feeling as a widow.

Now that Fall is here, I like to cozy up with the TV, and watch football Saturday and Sunday.
Fall is my favorite time of the year!! Cozy up with the TV sounds very relaxing. When I cozy up with the TV, I make sure I have my favorite foods/snacks. :giggle:

I think as we age our social tendencies tend to slow down some, even if we’re the extroverted, social butterfly type.

At least that’s the way it’s been with me. After I left my ex, and started dancing, I would be out 5 nights a week, and weekends would consist of other dance socials, family get togethers, lunch or dinner with friends. That was in my 50’s.

That slowed down some in my 60’s, the nights mainly, it just got to be too much.

And now in my 70’s I’m happy to dance one night a week, but still love social or family get togethers on the weekends, going out to dinner with friends or just Ron, attending the various community events that abound where we live.
I enjoy dancing as well. When I hear music, I'm ready to dance. You should see me in my vehicle - I'm sure people in their vehicles beside me and behind me are like - shes having a good day. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

We used to love going out when the children were small. Now I'm alone and everyone have moved on I like to catch up with
friends for a lovely coffee and a long chat remembering the good old days. When I get home, I love to throw off the glad rags
and slip into my most comfortable clothes and slippers and watch the T.V.
