That really gets my back up, by definition they're calling you OLDI'll take old or senior either one. The only one that irks me is people I don't know calling me "young lady".
I've had so many older people call me ''just a kid''... lol... I look at photos of my granny at the same age as I am now.. and no-one in their right mind in those days would have described her as a kidNot long ago I was returning to my van when a gentleman with a small dog asked if would look after his dog for a few minutes while he went into a shop. I said OK, but when he emerged, it seemed that he was in the mood for a 'blether' and I was treated to the local history of the area. Eventually he asked me how old I was. 72 next month. Oh, he said, you're just a 'spring chicken', I'm 86. Must say, he looked pretty well on it.
For the rest of that day, I was a spring chicken before returning to my normal state of being a 'crumbly'.
Thank you....Love your new avatar @Mizmo
Lovely image of you, @Mizmo , I like to see who I am conversing with. Thanks for sharing with us!Thank you....
I will leave for a little while.
I have one of those people who has been following me around the social net for years, not trolling exactly, but in an uncomfortable way so don't like to leave pics on too long though now I am older they may not recognize me. I don't want this person joining this group.
You're not your Gran, Hols. You look very young.I've had so many older people call me ''just a kid''... lol... I look at photos of my granny at the same age as I am now.. and no-one in their right mind in those days would have described her as a kid![]()
What is granny chic style?I was at the thrift store and heard two women discussing "granny chic" whatever that is.
I'm not really sure what I am. I'll also go with older, 62, over 60, retirement age. Not retired though.
