Are you celebrating "Pride Month"?

Did you ever think we'd be celebrating (Gay)"Pride Month"?
One of those bible conflics I don't understand
1 John 3
New Century Version
We Are God’s Children
3 The Father has loved us so much that we are called children of God. And we really are his children.

If that is true then why this?
Seven Gay Texts: Biblical Passages Used to Condemn Homosexuality

There are seven texts often cited by Christians to condemn homosexuality: Noah and Ham (Genesis 9:20–27), Sodom and Gomorrah (Genesis 19:1–11), Levitical laws condemning same-sex relationships (Leviticus 18:22, 20:13), two words in two Second Testament vice lists (1 Corinthians 6:9–10; 1 Timothy 1:10), and Paul's letter to the Romans (Romans 1:26–27). The author believes that these do not refer to homosexual relationships between two free, adult, and loving individuals. They describe rape or attempted rape (Genesis 9:20–27, 19:1–11), cultic prostitution (Leviticus 18:22, 20:13), male prostitution and pederasty (1 Corinthians 6:9–10; 1 Timothy 1:10), and the Isis cult in Rome (Romans 1:26–27).

I'm not gay and don't care about a month long celebration of Pride. I am happy that the interpretation of bible texts used to condemn homosexuality is declining.

What if you start having "feelings" for someone with your biological/anatomical parts you were born with? It does happen, in fact it happens quite frequently. It is aprox. 1 out of 10 for both genders. If the truth were to be known, several members of the SF have had relations with their same gender friends. If we celebrate lots of other different special interests, then there is no reason not to celebrate this interest also.

Some people are extroverts and want the celebration to be shared, while others would rather just go about their business. This is true for most all human activity. I am glad that people who are "Bi" do not feel afraid of admitting there attraction/s to the same gender. Adults can make there own choices on how to deal with their own relationships. It is not, and will remain so, no one elses' business.

I have had several gay friends in my time and none of them ever wanted to be in parades.
They were all also very disapproving of the colour painted crosswalks which do cost the taxpayer money in upkeep.

Just be what you are. Live your life normally. No need to flaunt your choices in parades or otherwise.

I do feel I agree with your comment fully. Absolutely nothing wrong with being gay. Just do not shove your choice of gayness into my face or the workings of public policy.

I have no problems with gay people either, as long as their gay agenda isn't shoved into my face or the public face. I happen to have gay people within my extended family circle. I accept them. I also challenge them when their gayness becomes a drum to beat.
Nor do I like anyone shoving their sexuality in my face; regardless of gender or personal sexual preference. It’s called ‘personal’ sexual preference for a reason.

My problem with "Pride Month" is the part that the media never covers but happens every year...

Exactly. My gay friends begged me to go to the gay pride parade with them every year. They never seemed to realize that I accepted them as is cause they excepted me as is. I NEVER had any desire to see THIS ^^^^^^ type of thing. I wouldn’t know where to look but every year they’d pester me.
No thank you.

😲 I guess this is where I have to admit I've obviously been pretty sheltered, even at this age. I knew about the parades and pride month, of course, but I honestly had NO idea that *this* happens anywhere. What makes it okay? And what the 👿 does hanging your bits & pieces out to blow in the breeze have to do with gay pride anyhow?

EDIT: I see the picture of the "bits & pieces" has been removed... so anyone reading my post in the future will think I'm "seeing things." Sorry 'bout that. 😁

You would have to ask the rare, very rare, participant who behaves that way.

When I was in Jr. High I was traumatized, with my friend, over a guy who exposed himself to us, fully erect. Months later, I saw him as a crew member on a City Sanitation route. Yes, I knew his face as I averted my eyes, quickly, not quickly enough. I can still see *it*, and it still disgusts me. We were 13, and I never saw one doing that trick they do before.

I've never met a female this hasn't happened to.

I was in Zurich when Stonewall happened. I WAS SO PROUD!!!!!!!!!!!! They Fought Back. Couldn't take the harassment any more and flipped out. YAY!!!!!!!!!

Not rare at all. Look up Torontos gay pride parade. They are all half naked doing all kinds of things right out in the open.
Any thoughts on what the connection is in their minds, Patty? If you're proud to be gay, great! There are parades to show your pride... there are fairs like the one coming up close to me soon. I would think they desire respect and to be treated like anyone else (which of course is how it should be) ... so doing something like this would seem to bring the opposite result. 🤷‍♀️

Those women are not showing *******ia. Breasts are different, you show yours, right?
But the men are showing their *****.
What? No chance. In Ontario years back they made being topless legal . I never saw one woman topless. The woman weren’t the ones voting to be topless. Most of the show offs were men. I am respectful. 😅
