Really wanted to see Poker Face on PeacockTV, but it would only stream on my Android, which I'm not interested in watching from. I canceled my account.
Actually I haven't seen many prison films, can't even remember any. My never-again list is slavery, holocaust and wife battering, seen enough and nothing left to learn.Yeah, I don't watch prison films anymore. They're all the same. I liked Brute Force (1947) with Lancaster and Hume Cronyn; and Birdman of Alcatraz (1962). But haven't liked any since. I've also gotten tired of kidnapping films, and won't watch them again. No way to do anything new with that story line.
To me I can think of one really good prison film,' The Shawshank Redemption' is by far a good film. Morgan Freeman is the standout to me.Actually I haven't seen many prison films, can't even remember any. I like this version better than the previous one.In the middle of Four Seasons. Alan Alda wrote and starred in it 44 years ago. He had a small part in this one. Considering his health, he looked pretty good.
Alda has had Parkinson’s for a few years now.Agree he looks quite good at age 89.
Agree the cast is superb. Something about Tina Fey is so likeable...Enjoying the series "Four Seasons". It is hilarious.
Great cast: Tina Fey, Steve Carell. Alan Alda even made an appearance (boy did he get old).
Yes! Shawshank Redemption was a wonderful film! I only saw it for the first time about a year ago, and loved it so much I've since watched it again. To me I can think of one really good prison film,' The Shawshank Redemption' is by far a good film. Morgan Freeman is the standout to me.
Well, I'd sure have to agree with you there...Actually I haven't seen many prison films, can't even remember any. My never-again list is slavery, holocaust and wife battering, seen enough and nothing left to learn.
Agree that was an excellent movie.Watched 3 complete movies over the last 2 days all without ads. I had went back to basic Netflex @ $7.99. One in particular is a favorite of mine 'Spotlight' about the problem with abuse by the clergy and their targeted victims. I remember the issue reported by the Boston Globe around the time of the twin towers 911 destruction. Very well done.
Thanks for the warning.Lord God, I don't know why, but I managed to drag myself through Netflix's Ransom Canyon. It's been a long time since I've seen such lame acting, crappy script, and just sheer ugh.
Lots of slinky women, though. I guess that was the selling point, though none of the rest of it was really worth watching. Maybe it was the slinky women that forced me to watch all 9 episodes.
I think it's a great cast, especially Tom Hardy. It's always a pleasure to see Helen Mirren and Pierce Brosnan, but they play rather cookie-cutter characters. It's basically Hardy's series as a "fixer"-- in this case for the mob rather than a corporation or movie studio. Without that great cast it would be a mediocre familiar mob story.I just finished the first season of 'Mobland'. I didn't plan on watching the whole season, it's just that good. Especially if you like violence. Tons of violence and blood shed.
Yes, he's great. I first seen him in 'The Take' an 80s crime mini series. I still go back and watch that.I think it's a great cast, especially Tom Hardy. But as you say, if one enjoys violence, Mobland has plenty of that.
Sense & Sensibility with Emma Thompson and Kate Winslet and Hugo Grant is the best movie from Austin I've ever seen.I am also a fan of some of Jane Austin's, 'Pride & Prejudice' & 'Sense & Sensibility' are 2 I've seen many times. I tried 'Remains of the Day' but that was boring beyond belief. Also has anyone seen 'Departures' a Japanese language film subtitled in English, very moving 1st watched it after my father passed away. I guess I let my emotions rule. It is also a favorite of mine.
Absolutely love that movie!Sense & Sensibility with Emma Thompson and Kate Winslet and Hugo Grant is the best movie from Austin I've ever seen.
