Are you streaming ( or binge watching ) any series on Netflix, or any other service? Tell us about it.

The lengths Bertha will go to to marry off her daughter to wealth alone makes it worth the watch. We're only on Episode 2 of Season 2 and the uncomfortable scenes during some of the get-togethers are cringe-worthy.
Julian Fellows is good at those things. He's listed as the creator. I assume he must exert control over script, because his fingerprints are all over the series.

That's so sad to hear. :D Now you have no Ballard for today! I'm trying to limit my Ballard eps to 1 a day, maybe 2. I also just borrowed the first Ballard ebook from my local library and am reading it on my Kindle. đź“–
That’s the way I handle it too. I believe I’ve read the first two books. I’d like to, but it makes me dizzy.

I felt the same way about Season Two of Squid Game. Because Season One was so good, I watched all of Season Two, hoping it would get good at some point. It didn't.

I actually tried the first episode of Season Three but won't be going any further. I've been burned before.
I've been debating trying Season 2 of Squid Game. I loved Season 1. I didn't expect to and tried it only on the recommendation of my older daughter, then I binged the entire series within a week.

I was really annoyed that they left Season 1 open for a sequel, but I was not entirely surprised, because of course the dollar is king, and if they can get more money from a sequel they will.

From what you and @Trade have said, @Medusa, I'll likely give Seasons 2 and 3 a pass.

Right now I'm watching The Waterfront and loving it. Very over-the-top and escapist.

Sherlock & Daughter on HBO Max. CW show but with no commercials. Silly, but I'm enjoying it. I always find Sherlock kind of silly anyway.

I had the same experience with trying Season One of Squid Game. I did not expect to like it and then couldn't stop watching.

You're definitely safe skipping the subsequent seasons. Hope you enjoy, The Waterfront. :)

Just finished binge watching all 4 seasons of "Good Girls". I really liked it up until the ending which I absolutely hated.

Just finishes 'Ballard' on Prime. Definitely worth the time! I really hope there is a S02.
Just wrapped it up tonight too. I’m sure there’ll be a season 2. All of Connelly’s stories have been popular.

It’ll probably take about 1.5 years. If it were regular TV, they’d have done a season’s worth, wrapped up at the end of May and have a new season in October. I hate waiting.

I recently started watching The Stick on Apple TV. It's with Owen Wilson as a former golf pro who had a meltdown on the course after his chid died. The other actor is Marc Maron, a podcaster I've listened to since podcasting first began. His life story is interesting, and lately he's been doing this sort of acting. The show is pretty good. Only half an hour only 10 episodes.

It’s not on NF yet, but I’m looking forward to a new Chuck Lore series, Leanne. The star is Leanne Morgan, a standup comic. If you don’t recognize the name, you’d know her by her accent. It drops July 31st.

She was on Marc Marion’s podcast recently.

@Marcy Sheiner, you probably listened to this one.

Hadn't heard of that one, Marcy. Will check it out.

That's good news, I think. Leanne Morgan is my favorite comedienne. She's a riot in stand-up, but it will be interesting to see if she can have the same effect in a sitcom. Reportedly it premieres on July 31 on Netflix.

Only Murders in the Building. I'm watching Season 4, and it's still hilarious. Sounds unlikely that anyone can make a comedy series about murders taking place in a New York apartment house, but they've pulled it off. The success of this series is largely due to the three actors playing oddball residents of the building who keep solving the murders, and doing a much better job of investigating than the police department. The frustrated cop in charge is also very funny.

The three would-be detectives who keep solving the murders are played by Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez. Their comic timing is priceless.
