Bill Cosby’s Sex Assault Conviction Overturned by Court

It was one of the prosecutors that tried to renege on a deal an earlier prosecutor had made. I do not think it can be reversed; it isn't the kind of case the Supreme Court takes, anyway.

It is my understanding that in this case the prosecutors could retry Cosby, because it's my understanding double jeopardy doesn't matter when a verdict is overturned on a technicality.

Whether or not the prosecutor will retry is a whole 'nother question.

The PA SC ordered no further prosecution on this matter, so DJ is moot.
Thank you both for weighing in with your legal expertise. (y)

From page 77 of the Opinion:

"There is only one remedy that can completely restore Cosby to the status quo ante. He must be discharged and any further prosecution on these particular charges must be disbarred".

Of course you do. How can it have been consensual when the woman was drugged and unconscious? Oh never mind, I guess she agreed to that, too?

Because we do not know if 'her' story is any more truthful than 'his'.

Why is it that so many automatically believe the accusers , when there is no proof ? Why did these women wait so long to come forward ? Yeah I know, he's popular & powerful, and they're not. Well, ten or so years later those facts are still the same. And now they suddenly come forward & accuse ?? No proof of any kind.

Yes I know, he admitted to giving [one] drugs & then having sex with her . So what ? that is no different than a man buying a woman a drink and then having sex with that woman.

Did he break 'drug' laws ? Yes, OK then charge him with that, but nothing sexual/physical.
