China's Pregnancy Robot Is Capable Of Birthing Live Baby

I have to try to look at this objectively and say that if a couple in China wants to have a baby and are incapable, and they either can't find or don't want to use a human surrogate, this may make sense.
What about adopting a child for couples who are incapable?

And moreover why is it such important for some people to get a child whatever it takes?

I doubt that in some cases it is the child which is important for them but other reasons.

I've read the story of a very wealthy couple with a big company.
They wanted to have an heir for the company but the wife couldn't give birth to a child.

Thus they adopted a male baby.
But while growing older it was obvious that the boy could not do what was expected of him. In the end he committed suicide.

Other company owners just sell their company at a certain age.

not sure about where you live - but in Australia it is almost impossible to adopt a child - there just aren't babies available for adoption

can't see why that would be so for people using IVF any more than for anybody else.
