It needs to be mandatory that everyone post the state/province/country that they live in. We don't need your bank account information or credit card numbers, but it helps when folks ask questions that are climate/law/culture related.
Hahahahahahaha."We don't need your bank account information or credit card numbers, - - - ".
Well we could make these facts optional - -in case some of us fall on hard times and need a little - -uhh - -financial lift, we'll know where to look.:emmersed:
Manatee, don't most of us already do that?
Unfortunately most don't and then they ask for information about climate/laws/and cultural matters.
The "you married women" sounds like you believe that all married women (or more than ever before) take their husband's name ?What do you married women do now that you've taken your husband's name ? .......
What do you married women do now that you've taken your husband's name ?
You might as well throw away your birth certificate. Right ?
Might be different outside Australia but here a woman can quite legally use her birth-certificate name at any stage of her life, single, married, married and divorced ten times !
If she chooses to adopt the use of a husbands name that's fine - but it has never been a legal 'must'.
She can revert to her given name at any time.
It remains forever her 'legal' name.
Taking a husbands name was a matter of tradition, not law.
 Hello StarSong. :welcome: to the forum. Glad you joined our group.
(Sorry about womens' names. I only know one married couple where the wife uses her OWN name (Good for her) rather than
her husband's name.
Guess we're neighbors kinda. I live in RPV down by the harbor.
