Yes, they're fortune bells aren't they? It's supposed to bring good luck to your home. IMO a steal for just 20 bucks. My Mom had..now mine...something like..hanging 10"lg.slim rope of tiny bells.
She called it The Bells of Sarna....to bring good luck to thehouse/home.
I would have probably bought the telescope too. It would have thrilled my hubby. Play with it. You may be well pleased with what you see. Lou1Haha! This is timely!
I went to a yard sale yesterday, (hadn't been to a yard sale in YEARS!)
Four women were unloading a huge telescope from a vehicle.
I asked if it was in good condition.
One woman was yelling, "at least a hundred dollars!"
One other lady came over and said, "Yes, it's in excellent condition. How about $25 dollars?"
I bought it. it's at least 9 inches diameter.
Comes with a tripod.
The last thing in the world I need is a telescope!
a HUGE telescope!
I have no one to share this with.
I would rather watch the James Webb telescope images.
I NEVER buy stuff I don't need!
What is the matter with me?
(don't answer that!)
Anyway, I feel really stupid for buying that!
I have seen refurbished old phones on line, because some people collect them, or use them for parts to refurbish with. i actually bought one many years ago, and am still using it because I like the retro feel of a heavy receiver in my hand, and the push button numbers. Maybe you could sell the phones on Ebay? While I’m here and speaking of things we buy. Would anyone have an area what to do with a huge bag full of old phones. Is there any good purpose for them ???? Lou
Oh, yes, everyone should have one of these, you never know when they may come in handy.
For me, I wind up giving it to my Daughter. That happens to me with clothing. I usually end up donating the item to charity.
And a bridge in New York, too! There was this horse once........![]()
Take them to your local dump that will take old electricals. They will safely dispose of them. While I’m here and speaking of things we buy. Would anyone have an area what to do with a huge bag full of old phones. Is there any good purpose for them ???? Lou
Nope, never bought a bridge, but I have bought a lot of horses, bred a few, trained some. THAT ONE was beautiful, well bred and mean as a wolverine. And a bridge in New York, too!![]()
How much money did you "pony up" for it?There was this horse once........![]()
Your location isn't mentioned, nor whether you mean standard old phones or cell phones, but there are various places you can donate old cell phones.. a couple of examples:While I’m here and speaking of things we buy.
