I'm a big fan of the legalization of euthanasia in MANY circumstances. Wouldn't it be nice to time a peaceful exit?I pretty much have done all that.
What worries me is that I will want to leave before anyone else can legally help me, so long as euthanasia is illegal.
No state can deny a marriage license to same sex couples, it is Constitutional law already. Not yet, but it's in the plan, just like Roe v. Wade.
I'm aware of that, it is not an every post occurence, his post was 2 and mine was 3, no big issue. And @ohioboy

your painkiller will have lost their potency potentially by the time you want to use them .... they'll more likely just painfully destroy your liver...Not many here, the only one I can think of is what if I end up an invalid and have no means of voluntary escape.
Been saving painkillers for that, but who knows if I will be able to administer them when the time comes. Not that I expect it anytime soon, I am happy and my health is pretty good.
Love that film!Anyone see the movie "Sliding Doors" (1998...Gweneth Paltrow)...taking two paths
Your niece loves you! What if no one likes me?

This can only be describes as: "Too much month at the end of the money," a common experience for wage earners and pensioners alike.Great topic!
My What If's are...
- What if I outlive my savings?
Having almost always been poor, and having to work with what I have, I rather like the Alfred E. Neuman approach to old age.Stop heading down that path. Planning is one thing, driving yourself nuts worrying about endless possibilties is quite another. I deal with life as it comes. Having a financial cushion helps, and knowing my daughter is capable and caring is also comforting.
