Are other folks really ignorant or do you just see them as ignorant because you disagree with their ideas and cannot share their contentment?
Nelson Mandela was in prison for years and found contentment and when released wasn't angry or vindictive. I don't think he was ignorant, just realized he had to make the best of his situation.
Being able to control your emotions isn't an act of ignorance or denial, but rather intelligence, understanding that you are hurting no one but yourself by a negative reaction.
All those insane, irrational videos by those young folks that didn't like what the majority of the people wanted, didn't impress me as intelligent, but rather clueless and feeling entitled and ignorant. My staying calm and just smiling about their insanity, didn't lower my IQ one iota.
