Hahaha when I was a little guy? I think it was more syrup then pancakes. But nowadays you can slap my ass and call me a rabbit, because my diabetes does not like the ol maple!
Thank you for the clarification. First I ever heard of pancakes with corn kernels mixed in!Hoe cakes were originally corn pone cakes (the simplest form of corn bread consisting of just cornmeal and water) baked on the blade of a hoe over a fire. I'm sure later they came to mean other things.
My corn cakes are just pancake batter with whole kernel corn mixed in.
I have put an over easy egg on mine sometimes, but mostly its just pancake and butter.I shamelessly drown mine in butter.
Sometimes I top mine with eggs over easy.
Say it, sisterYes! Real maple syrup. And I'll use plenty of it. I also like jam on pancakes. Peanut butter with the maple syrup on pancakes is really good.
I would only eat a banana if was an unripe one, covered in ice cream and very very small. I dislike bananasAs bad as banana dipped in Coleman's Mustard?
If it's any consolation, never jam with the peanut butter on a pancakeOMG NO, @Gary O' BAD, BAD Peanut butter with maple syrup and jam on a pancake=diabetic coma
Strawberry jam with maple syrup? I will give this a try.Say it, sister
PB on pancakes...with maple syrup=heaven
Oh, and jam (strawberry preferred) with maple syrup, just plain rocks (try it, you won't go back)

But they have eggs and bacon so I could see it.Muy bueno!
Pancakes with pecans in them are really good. Also macadamia nuts. The little ones like them with chocolate chips, on occasion.Thank you for the clarification. First I ever heard of pancakes with corn kernels mixed in!
