Do you use bar soap or body wash when you bathe?

Or something else? Or nothing at all?

I’ve never been able to make the transition to body wash. Lord knows I’ve tried! My kids consider me a shower Luddite because I don’t use body wash and a scrubber or washcloth like “everybody” does!

Nope. I just use a bar of soap which I rub everywhere, use my hands to lather it up, rinse off and I’m done!

How about you?

I'd rather use a bar of soap like I did for most of my life but have found body wash produces much MUCH less soap scum.
I know hate is a strong word but I HATE housework more than I "hate" body wash. So, body wash it is.
And I use body wash for my very short hair too. But I also used bar soap for that too, when I used bar soap.

Bar of soap, a washcloth and a foot scrubbie. The soap has shea butter in it and is the "extra gentle" from L'Occitane en Provence. A bar of it lasts forever.

I use a washcloth and a rough cloth foot scrubbie to remove not just dirt and sweat, but also the increasing dead, flakes of skin from this aging body.

It can be difficult to get a decent lather with soap. Why doesn't soap lather in cold water?
If you used something abrasive like a bath mop, you can do the job with just water.

Body wash - the cheapest I can find, but it has to be "for sensitive skin". That's usually Equate, the Walmart store brand.

Haven't used bar soap in years, but when I did, it was Zest.

For the last couple of years, body wash combined with a luffa on a stick so I can reach my back. I have a bar of Ivory soap that I use on my face, however.

Since I tend to get dirty I prefer bar soap and a wash rag. For years I used Irish Spring soap since I was a manly man, but now I'm a sensitive guy so have switched to Kirk's soap. Honestly Kirk's is the best soap I have ever used, it produces lots of suds which carries the dirt away and leaves my skin feeling mosturized.
