Do you walk holding hands?

the grandkids all want to hold my hand at least for awhile while walking ..... spouse will occasionally reach out and hold for a short time he never did seem to enjoy it but for short bits.

Gotta admit title of this thread makes me sad. I always have the same picture in mind re: holding hands
We are in New Hampshire, walking by a lake, holding hands, our little boy running in front of us; behind us; around us---laughing & playing. Love this memory; happened many times. I miss the feel of him and always will. Lucky you who still have each other.
That is so touching, @Pepper! Cherish that memory!

I dated a civilian employee from my base one evening. I never heard anything about her or knew anything about her. All night long, she wanted to hold hands, including while sitting at the restaurant table. She even wanted to hold hands while I was driving. I never understood the need to hold hands for so long or so much of the time. We held hands almost all night.

We do, always have done. I think couples holding hands is very natural and sweet. I especially love seeing very elderly people holding hands, it is a simple but powerful connection.

Not just romantically either, it's good to see children holding mummy or daddy's hands. Daughters with elderly parents. Even some friends, I have one close friend who always links arms or holds hands with me as we walk home after a meal out, the four of us. I like it when the husband's walk together and us ladies have a chat.
Yes, we always did. Had few friends who didn't do it, they tried but it didn't work, do they've said.

More poignant was the last outing we had on Wednesday 27 April 2022. He was holding harder than usual. It's etched in my memory now...

How are you doing peramangkelder?
I don’t see you around very often.
Don’t you live in Africa or someplace on the otter side of the world?
@PeppermintPatty I do live on the other side of the world but in Australia not Africa but hey you got the 'A' right
Thank you for asking how I am. I do pop in here every so often just to see how everyone is 🤗

Misa and I worked together today. She has 9 days off of work. It has been months since we had time to enjoy working together. We gathered all our used cattle panels, and had cut off a few bent/broke ends, and then stacked them in an out of the way spot. We walked back and forth and we held hands. :)

When Hubby was alive, we always held hands. As he got more infirm, he used to lean on my shoulder for support. A walking stick soon became the necessary thing for balance but then towards the end he never came shopping again. Gee I miss those days.
