That is so touching, @Pepper! Cherish that memory!Gotta admit title of this thread makes me sad. I always have the same picture in mind re: holding hands
We are in New Hampshire, walking by a lake, holding hands, our little boy running in front of us; behind us; around us---laughing & playing. Love this memory; happened many times. I miss the feel of him and always will. Lucky you who still have each other.
Holding hands with Michael only leaves me with one free hand. Michael? Yes, here in the UK the aid for walking is a walking stick. Elsewhere it's called a cane.Yes, unless I am holding onto my walker.
What? No holding hands with your man friends?Only with my wife.
How are you doing peramangkelder?Huz and I link elbows because I am a bit unsteady these days![]()
It is indeed. Holding hands state, we are one, we love one another and we are friends. We are here for each other. And then one half is gone and your heart is broken, and then we walk alone.I note some of these posts are in the past tense. It is I think the hand holding and companionship bond that is missed most when it is no longer there.
Yes, we always did. Had few friends who didn't do it, they tried but it didn't work, do they've said.We do, always have done. I think couples holding hands is very natural and sweet. I especially love seeing very elderly people holding hands, it is a simple but powerful connection.
Not just romantically either, it's good to see children holding mummy or daddy's hands. Daughters with elderly parents. Even some friends, I have one close friend who always links arms or holds hands with me as we walk home after a meal out, the four of us. I like it when the husband's walk together and us ladies have a chat.
I rememberWhat? No holding hands with your man friends?
Poking fun of the guys reaction to European men holding hands. It was meant jokingly.
Do you think men are losing their masculinity?
Thank you for being a good sport. I was hoping you’d remember that thread and not take my post seriously.I remember
Yeah, we hug, but we only hold hands if we're serious.![]()
