Do you watch Jeopardy ?

:darth:Not any more, Wheel of Fortune is more my speed...

Don't down yourself. A quick mental response to a puzzle is way better than having to remember what hero or other came up with some activity they did to save themselves in the moment before the bell. I'm more interested in the kind of intelligence of the former. Quick minded in other words.

I hear you. I know many answers, but sometimes just can't spit out the answer in time, it could be my 18% homemade grape wine. :beerandwhistle: Sweeie and I play against each other and keep score of our correct answers, She almost always wins, but I win when we play scrabble. Maybe she just lets me win...:eek:hwell:

Jeopardy: Not sure, post 20 has merit. I'm suspicious on how one person can come back show after show. My brain does operate that fast.

The only quiz show, if it can be called that, is Steve Harvey's
'Family Feud,' but only the Fast Money. Steve Harvey is the only reason I watch the show.
(I feel a little guilty about watching such an inane production.)

I cannot set through the whole show, watching alleged normal people act goofy
Any time you put a person on TV they feel they need to entertain..
All the reality shows are fixed, are the quiz shows any different?

I wouldn't say the game is "fixed" so that player X is given the answers, or that the categories favor his area of expertise. I do feel that a player, who has a long run on the program, significantly improves ratings. I think there is a strategy of play, which allows a player to rack up large sums, so that he can't lose. It's not that the fix is in, but by using that strategy, and some luck, long winning streaks are more the norm. I only occasionally switch on the show, when I'm channel surfing. But I'd like to see the history of the program's winning streaks, to see if there are more streaks now, than in previous years. To me, it seems there were just a few long streak winners, years ago?
