Documentary: Friends of God

Tried to watch it but had to pull out. IMO the teaching is the antithesis of the gospel teaching of Jesus and anti science as well. It is the McDonalds of religion - fast food, but a very poor spiritual diet for adults and children alike. It is neither milk nor meat.

Where is the introspection and soul searching? It's more akin to a Tupperware convention than a church.
 
The documentary was finished in 2006. That was 16 years ago. Are they still as influential in government? It seems there is a "moral majority" on the supreme court, and in some decisions that are affecting women's right to choose. I think the evangelical movement morphed into following a politician. Who will be the next God/Politician?
 

Alexandra Pelosi has made many interesting documentaries about the people of America and has an unusual, moderate political stance. One that looks very interesting to me (I haven't watched it yet) is Outside the Bubble, on HBO, made in 2018. It's a road trip across America where she tries to find a middle ground for a meeting of the minds for Americans of all political beliefs. Looks worth tuning into.
