For tennis tragics

Watching the women's final at Wimbledon.
Serena Williams V Garbiñe Muguruza and the young Spaniard has started very well.
She broke Serena's first serve and seems pretty fearless.
On the other hand Serena seems very nervous.

This could be a very interesting match.

It's now 11.44 pm and I should be getting ready for bed but I'm wide awake.

Husband likes watching all the matches, but I was only interested in our boy, Andy Murray and he's out.

I've stayed up all night watching some things as I knew I couldn't sleep. World Cup, elections.

Serena will likely win.

Husband has decided horse racing is more profitable as he's won on 3 bets he made today. Bets online and watches on tv. We won't become wealthy though. His bets are £1.

Garbiñe is not giving up. She's broken back again and it's now Serena 5 - 4 and Garbiñe has the next service.
It's getting very exciting. The crowd is finding it hard to maintain silence during the points.

My role model was my mother. She played tennis until she had a stroke in her eighties.
I met my husband playing tennis. His mother also met his father on the tennis court.

As I sat up late last night watching the women's final with Hubby, the ghosts of those two dear mothers were there with us.

I hope the men's final between #1 Novak Djokovic and #2 Roger Federer will be more of a challenge. I had a brunch date yesterday and so missed the ladies final. But the men play longer matches so I might get to see some of that. It outta be good. At least, I hope so. I was a huge Rafa Nadal fan but he's been in the dumps so long I've switched to team Federer.

So DW, tennis has always been a big part of your life. I played as a teen but was never very good. My husband has to explain the rules and scoring to me when we watch. You'll be watching the men's final today I'm sure. Preference?

Not this near the coast. Just over the Blue Mountains at Lithgow, Bathurst and Orange there have been unusually heavy snowfalls with more yet to come.

This weather pattern is unusual in that it is following the Great Dividing Range and heading towards Queensland. The southern snow fields are very happy to get natural snow.

I played tennis until my shoulder became too ragged two years ago. I never was the princess doll type. My dolls were all sheros. Lol. I drove my family mad, except for my suffragette grandmother who loved it.
