For The Love Of Dogs

What to do? I have a 90lb chow. He came to me 5 years ago when my best friend died of a sudden heart attack. His last words were take care of Bear. Truth is he is just to much for me to deal with. He is the best dog, sweet, not a mean bone in his body. My two littles will snip at me sometimes but big dog never has.
He will not listen, he got after a possum last week, I had to wrestle him in the dirt for half an hour till I got him away from it. He will bark and not come in when I call. He sheds so much I can't keep up with cleaning. I am just so tired. I hate to have to give him up but what can I do? I am so tired and so sad.......I do not know what I should do.

Don't you know younger people who want to take him? My son would have loved to get a dog but for me it's way too expensive. Or maybe people who can't pay for it but do want to take him out.
He stayed with my son a few weeks when I had surgery. The dog alerts to everything and so barks a lot at night. Not good when you work!!
