Forum member seriously injured

Holly, I check in here every day to see how you're doing. Glad to see you're slowly recovering.
bless you, thanks Marcy.. 🧡 ... had the dressings changed again today by the district nurse.. I haven't this particular one for 2 weeks.. so she was really delighted to see that my hand is healing fast... she said she can no longer see the tendons... so that's good news....

I wish my ribs would heal as fast tbh...

Roll on Lidocaine rubbed in with a warm wrap may help with the Tendonitis pain.
I find it and slowly bending movements relieve painful stiffness when it happens.
Support that hand as you sleep with a towel up an inch or so. from the mattress may help also.

good advice however I already use muscle relaxants on the arm..plus I have another pillow to rest the arm on when I'm sleeping because it's the one that got damaged in the crash.. and I have to keep elevated to try and reduce the swelling.. but sadly none of those things are working on the tendonitis...

Cold may relieve swelling and slow stretches can relieve pain almost immediately.
Does your skin / Joint feel cold or hot when it wakes you up? Sometimes a couple
sips of cold water when you wake up and before bedtime may help if you dehydrate a bit.
U been thru a bunch of heat, just like St. Louis this summer. We finally got a week of nice
summer here but it's supposed to heat up again.

PT... my arm is encased in banadaging there's no skin showing...

I drink cold water a lot, I even have a water glass by my bed ...I am not dehydrated at all

Sometimes us elderly don't like bandaging; it may be tight enough to cause discomfort.
My limbs don't like elastic wraps. Sox come off in evening time. First thing they say is
Elastic wraps that Elbow and use Cold Pacs.
