Gentle posts for gentle folks

Hello all, this evening,

and thank you, for each one of you adding the posts, today...
and the reactions,
both for myself to find heartening, and for all of us to enjoy.

Very glad to hear your updates, @Pam
though I hope that your granddaughter feels all better soon.

It's great to see the photo of that wonderful tree full of blossoms and the one of Rocco, in the park!!!
(Not in that particular order :giggle:😁☺️ )

Hurray, Rocco took 2 walks, and we hope that will continue.(y)🤩🥳

@RadishRose
I was thinking of you, today, and hope that there seems to you,
to be a good plan in place, for your improvements.

@Pinky
Well worded message, and I do appreciate your acceptance and encouragement.
🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 to all.

I finally got some better sleep, thankfully....
though nevertheless, I found it challenging to get ready and out, this morning, to drive to my doctor appointment this morning (not P.T. today)

I thought for sure I was going to be late, but I arrived with a few minutes to spare.

It was a supportive appointment, and afterwards I took my dh to the (small) fish market, which was exhausting, but we came home with salmon, enough to stock the freezer, so that is a successful outing.

I think we'll have some supper, soon.

Sending you many hugs @Kaila
Sometimes, life's challenges seem to pile up, and becomes a bit over-whelming.
I hope you can find the time to de-stress when that happens.

I'm reading and looking over, previous posts, as I often do.
Thank you again for this one. 🤩

Good morning, Kaila! Here's breakfast for today... is it a tad unnerving that it's looking at you?

Thanks for keeping us smiling and laughing, Kate. 🤩

Good Morning Kaila and friends,
How is everybody feeling this morning?
This is the picture of Rafiki. I adopted him a few years back.

Oh how touching, that you committed to helping this wonderful one. Thanks for sharing it with us, Rossana.

You were up very early? Or during the night?
I thought that you and I are in the same time zones. 🤔🫣🤔
🥰

Hello everyone.
It's a miserable cold rainy snowy day here in Connecticut I was shocked when I got up and saw a light coating of snow over everything.

Thank you all for caring about my doctor's appointment yesterday. I had an EMG which I knew nothing about. A jolting experience not too bad, just unpleasant. No she doesn't think surgery is needed it's not the hardware, it's not carpal tunnel. She wants to do another test on my legs! Get this- My leg responses to the hammer were "too brisk"! I don't know. I've just lost so much strength in my right arm and hand it's very disconcerting. She mentioned physical therapy. So maybe that will help me. I don't want to speak about this anymore.:censored:

I enjoyed reading all your posts and Pam that Rocco.... you're doing wonders with Rocco now he goes to the park with you. Oh, the tree is lovely.

Rosanna I was thrilled to see your elephant Rafiki. I love elephants we have a thread here at the forum called Elephant in the Neighborhood I don't remember if you posted there. Or not.

Kaila I was so happy to see that you got some sleep ohh and you bought so much salmon. I like salmon too; I bought some yesterday enough for the dog and me. I always give her some. Sometimes I just saute it in a pan with some olive oil on very low heat, sometimes I bake it ,,,usually I bake it. How do you like your salmon?

My grandson and his baby boy are improving so they're out of the woods, thanks for asking.

Anyone care for a baked Brie with figs?

No Rocco today so I got the bus into town, had a wander around, got a few bits and pieces including an Anniversary Edition of Trvial Pursuit in a charity shop for the princely sum of £2.00. Will take that to my son's house tomorrow when we have tea and quiz night. I also bought a cheap 'old lady' shopping trolley, put my purchases in it and decided to walk home instead of getting the bus. It was a little bit of a walk too far as I have scoliosis and my back was sore when I got home. It's okay now, I decided that a lie down on the settee watching tele was in order and promptly fell asleep.

:giggle: Sorry to say I failed at making anyone smile yesterday... I had a heck of a time with FedEx losing a package and I actually had to chase the guy down when he stopped at a neighbor's house. "Uh, I see I'm supposed to have a package for you, but I can't find it on my truck." Oooooh, this was not a happy Katie for sure. FedEx is getting worse and worse. If I wouldn't have known he'd turn me down, I would have said "Let ME in there, I'll find it!" But anyhow, it arrived *today* and I have no idea where it spent the night!

I see @Medusa hasn't returned yet... maybe the K-posse needs to form a *real* posse! 🥺

So glad to hear you got to the fish market, Kaila! And can't beat salmon for health. That said, it's not my favorite, but I do have one recipe that makes me actually like salmon. It's (no laughing now!) Brown Sugar Honey Glazed Salmon. Who just guffawed??!! Yeah, yeah, Kate and that darn sweet tooth. I know... I know! 😮😄

I'm afraid I haven't kept up with much these days. I'm sorry to hear of your troubles, RR. I hope they will put you on the right track for complete recovery. Glad to hear that your family is doing better. Brie with figs sounds great.

I am on EST. Yes, I was. Elsa woke me up. She was hungry!
We had to take both cats to the vet on Thursday. Elsa was licking herself and scratching herself intensively. It got worse. Her body was full of little red dots. Elliot was starting to lick himself a lot too. The vet was able to see them right away.
It turned out that it is allergy due to the heavy pollen we have this year. The doctor gave her a shot of cortisone and a supply of pills.
In order for her to take it, I decided to crush it and mix it with a little bit of wet food. (Of course, both of them need their little bit!) Elsa is particularly fond of wet food and cannot wait to eat it, therefore I am up!😉 (it is not a big deal for me really because I am always up early)

@RadishRose I surely hope they can provide you with some comfort. Glad to hear the family is feeling better.
I have always been very fond of elephants and trying to help the little orphan is giving me great joy. I have not seen the thread on elephants. I will have to investigate.
I also love donkeys. A lot of them have been abused and it is very sad. I like 2 rescue groups that care for them. One is in California, the other in Texas. They do great work.
That brie looks really, really good!
@Kaila and @RadishRose Me too, I like salmon!
@Pam I like those "old lady shopping trolleys". They are very practical.
@CallMeKate I agree, FedEx service is going down hill. It used to be so good.

Good Morning, Kaila and Friends. 🤗:coffee:🌻

It is really nice to be back amongst you lovely people. I had the thing my husband had and just could not shake it. I haven't been that sick in, literally, decades.

That combined with a few other things caused me to fall off the face of the Earth for a while.

I'm going to try to read back and catch up this thread.

@Kaila, hope you're doing well and things have been good overall. 🤗

Let's have coffee!

@Medusa
Sorry that cold/flu thing hangs on. :(

How much better is your husband who came down with it before you?

In any case, we hope that yours doesn't linger any longer!
Let's banish it today! Away, away you go, dreadful thing!
Thank you for this, Kaila. My husband did get better before I did, although we still both have the cough. Still, much better, though. :)

@Pam, Great news about your recent walks with Rocco! :) Hoping your granddaughter has recovered and is doing well now.

@Kaila, it's wonderful that physical therapy is going so well for you. It helps a lot, too, that you're putting effort in and so getting good benefits. :)

Sorry to learn about recent sleep troubles and glad you've gotten some better sleep recently.

@RadishRose, when you mentioned that you hadn't posted because your, "mouse died," it took me a minute because I literally pictured the small, fuzzy mammal. :ROFLMAO: Glad you got a new one and hope it's working well.

I know you don't want to get into it so I'll just say that I'm glad your appointment went well in that you won't need surgery. 🤗

Thank you for asking after me. :) I hope the deep cleaning service went well.

@Jules , thank you for thoughts. I missed you guys too. :)

@Rossana, I hope your cats are feeling better soon. Allergy symptoms can be so uncomfortable.

@Pam
That type of cart seems very handy.
I ve seen somewhat similar, but haven't seen any like that, herabout.

That sounds like a strenuous walk even with it. I hope your back is not still bothering you today , too much, from that trek home, yesterday.

The game sounds like fun, and it was at the right price!
