Wonderful!McDonald's Just introduced its first-ever Vegan burger.
What absolutely sickens me is killing for animal head trophies, killing not for needed food--those hunters I consider mentally sick.
I so hate hearing about the practice of killing/hunting of trophy animals; it breaks my heart. The people practicing killing/hunting of trophy animals as a "sport" would have no problem at all, doing it against human beings if they weren't afraid of the law and its consequences. A person who derives pleasure in killing another being for fun is mentally sick!
I'm sorry you didn't find the taste of vegan food appealing to you.

Not much of a beef eater; in fact the only thing I can tolerate are hubby's grilled burgers and my tacos. I have to have my tacos once a week. I load them up with lots of lettuce and tomatoes.
I have a nice gift for you, @CAKCy ~
Or: Vegans don't tend to hoard foods, particularly non-plant based items.
I have absolutely zero disciple and just ate a pint of soy "icecream." That's why I'm fat. But I've still found it easy to be vegetarian 30 years and plant based over half of that.I don't have the willpower or discipline to be a vegetarian or a vegan. But I think vegetarians and vegans have the right idea, for a wide range of dietary, ethical and environmental reasons. So I'm glad McDonald's is giving them a menu choice.

Sometimes I wish for the convenience. But myself, I'm not really interested in going to those places.I suppose McD's has done their market research, nevertheless I can't really picture very many vegan or vegetarians having the fast food habit.
Love this video, but couldn't find the connection to McDonald's or vegan foods... Did I miss something?i would love to meet the Waldron parents. They raised some terrific kids as evidenced by this classic Best Man Speech with a younger brother making jokes at his older brother's expense. It is particularly touching and awesome (to me at least) because the Best man is on the Autism Spectrum. Yet in the process of the typical chiding of groom in best man's speech it's clear he's made a positive mark on his peers and community. Of course, we are now learning that there are many Boomers and Gen Xers who are undiagnosed, but on the spectrum (but that topic deserves own thread sometime, somewhere on the SF), which means that certain parenting styles can allow those on 'high end' of spectrum to at least function in society--hold jobs, have friends even marry.
No, i'm tired and rushing cause have chores to do. Meant to put in plain 'Good News-Thread. Will try to move.Love this video, but couldn't find the connection to McDonald's or vegan foods... Did I miss something?
That's the thing about his kind of format, if a thread is dormant for even a couple of days finding it again be tricky if there are similarly titled discussions. You use the search feature upper right and search 'Good News' in titles only the thread i intended to put it in was about #10 on the list. But now the official title of that one, 'Good News-Thread', is hopefully imprinted on my brain.I myself am so tired, that I hadn't even noticed that it had no relation to this thread topic.
Thanks, for informing me, @StarSong
And thanks for posting the interesting post, anyway, @feywon
No problem, you are in good company here! I've done the same in other threads, later wondering what I myself had in mind, of any possible connection to the thread I'd posted in!
