How Did You Sleep?

I take Trazodone which is an "old school" antidepressant that is now prescribed as a sleep aid. It helps me fall asleep, of course it won't make a person stay asleep, nothing will, except for a doctor administered drug like propofol.

My smartwatch app reports my sleep period accurately at about 10 hours, as I hit the sack about 8:45pm and arise around 6:30-6:45am.
Of course not all of that period is Deep or REM, usually several hours of "light" sleep, some of which is indistinguishable from being awake, but just quiet and still.

That's mixed bag of responses. Last night I was very tired after our drive home from our daughter's home. When we arrive home after any time away, I unpack right away. Last night I simply could not locate a favorite hat that I had taken with me. I woke up a couple times with that on my mind. I finally got up and went to look in our car. Sure enough there it was, hiding between the seat and console.

On top of that, because of my sleep apnea I have an inspire implanted neurostimulator that you turn on when retiring at night and turn off in the morning. I didn't want to wake my wife and couldn't find the remote control in the dark. So during my excursion to the car seeking my hat and back the inspire was doing its job. After finding a flashlight I located the remote and turned off the inspire device. My wife found me in a recliner in the den and wondered why I was asleep there. Sometime the best answer is simply to say, I couldn't sleep.

Last night after 4 hours at a rowdy night club, drove home 45 miles, and was up till 12:30am food binging. Ate two Swiss Miss chocolate drink packages, a tuna fish sandwich I'd bought at Trader Joes, mic'd melted aged Gouda cheese, two packages of chocolate Junior Mints, and half a package of Whoppers (chocolate malt balls), and much fruit drinks. Awoke at 4:30am, got up briefly, brushed my teeth, p, and went back to sleep till 8am. So maybe 7 good hours of sleep. So don't feel too bad.

Not much sleep last night. I start off great and then wake up, often less than an hour later. Back to sleep at 3, awake at 6. No luck dozing off again.

Holy crows, you had quite a night. Glad you found your hat.
