I often experience this type of "sleep" in the mornings."light" sleep, some of which is indistinguishable from being awake, but just quiet and still.
Holy crows, you had quite a night. Glad you found your hat. That's mixed bag of responses. Last night I was very tired after our drive home from our daughter's home. When we arrive home after any time away, I unpack right away. Last night I simply could not locate a favorite hat that I had taken with me. I woke up a couple times with that on my mind. I finally got up and went to look in our car. Sure enough there it was, hiding between the seat and console.
On top of that, because of my sleep apnea I have an inspire implanted neurostimulator that you turn on when retiring at night and turn off in the morning. I didn't want to wake my wife and couldn't find the remote control in the dark. So during my excursion to the car seeking my hat and back the inspire was doing its job. After finding a flashlight I located the remote and turned off the inspire device. My wife found me in a recliner in the den and wondered why I was asleep there. Sometime the best answer is simply to say, I couldn't sleep.
jim-slim: What no toilet breaks.????After my glass of red wine in the evening I sleep pretty well, usually 7 to 8 hours![]()
You ARE joking, aren't you?Last night after 4 hours at a rowdy night club, drove home 45 miles, and was up till 12:30am food binging. Ate two Swiss Miss chocolate drink packages, a tuna fish sandwich I'd bought at Trader Joes, mic'd melted aged Gouda cheese, two packages of chocolate Junior Mints, and half a package of Whoppers (chocolate malt balls), and much fruit drinks. Awoke at 4:30am, got up briefly, brushed my teeth, p, and went back to sleep till 8am. So maybe 7 good hours of sleep. So don't feel too bad.
I don’t sleep well but I do sleep better since changing to a single bed and letting my husband and dog sleep alone on another bed.I know that, as we get older, it can become more difficult to get enough sleep. I generally need about 9 - 9.5 hours to feel really good during the day. Some days I get enough sleep, others not so much.
Last night I did manage 9 hours in total, but it was interrupted by a 30 minute wake cycle from 05:00 to 05:30 and the next 2.5 hours was lighter than I'd like. Still, not a bad night, really.
How's everyone sleeping?
