How do you make yourself sleep when you can’t to get to sleep?

I take a 3mg or 5mg Melatonin capsule and make it a point to relax, starting with my face.
I take 10mg, or a pill with half THC and CBD. Then I read until my eyes start to droop, then I put on the gloves that help keep me from scratching until I am bruised, turn off the light and off to sleep. I don't lay awake very long. In the morning if I have a bruise it will spread instead of just going away.

How do you make yourself sleep when you can’t to get to sleep?

Short answer: I take Trazodone 50mg an hour before bedtime, which helps me drop off to sleep. Staying asleep is a different matter, but some lifestyle changes can help .
Long answer: Exercise, not eating within 3 hours of bedtime, not eating greasy or spicy foods or excessive alcohol at dinner time, and generally reigning in your busy mind. Exercise is a good general remedy for setting up your nervous system to be more relaxed and calm.

When I cannot go to sleep, I get out of bed and go out on our couch and watch TV. I will fall asleep or get really sleepy fairly quickly. I then wake up or just shuffle off to bed and fall right back to sleep.
