How Do You Take a Break from the Serious Stuff?

You should be flattered Philly. I am seriously considering writing an article about you in the WACKO section of Psycho-Therapissed's Weekly, thoughtfully entitled: "As The Stomach Turns." Aka "Inside SifuPhil."

I'm fine with that, but you'll have to check with my manager / agent / caretaker first - there are some copyright issues.

Also, of course, you have to pay airfare, hotel (5 star only), food (4 meals / day including pizza) and transportation.

Books one of my greatest escapes, I have some fab tv shows, several of which are comedies and then there's getting out with friends I especially love going out dancing of course I use the term dancing loosely as mostly I'm wiggling from the comfort of a chair. :dontworry: :wiggle:

Ooohhhhhhh PHIIIIILL.... You've got yourself quite the following of ladies... Can I join your little harem ?

nah... on 2nd thought... I'll just watch... lol!!

That's probably for the best - I've already got 4 address books filled. A man, even one as virile as me, can only do so much.

Not bragging - just stating fact.

I'm a news junkie and a reader. There's not enough mischief going on in this country so I read the English news in Germany and around the world. When I've had my fill, I pick up a novel and sometime a tonic. I alternate. I'm not as political as I'd like to be as i am a blue voter in a red state and know no other blues, although I know we must have some because it is a university town. Still life has never been so good as it has in retirement.

re:How Do You Take a Break from the Serious Stuff?

At 78 I'm the guardian of a 10 year old boy and 17 year old girl who's Mother died suddenly and Unexpectedly at age 35.There is no break to take from these kids BUT I'm not complaining. Id like to think my good health/body is a result of being ON THE GO 24/7,my doc thinks the same way.
I do get a "break" when the kids are in school and IM on here.:)
(now where the hell is that dust pan?)

I'm not a news junkie but I do quickly skim the news every day. When I need a break from real life, there's reading, doing some artwork, having people over for brunch or dinner, going outside for a walk, and Netflix -- light comedies, even some children's movies can be a lot of fun.
