Ooooh, @hollydolly That's sooo pretty. Don't y'all suffer from the pollen plague?

Have you used your new dryer yet?

@hawkdon Please check in from time to time today so that we'll know you're okay.
I don't suffer from the pollen plague..lol.. my daughter does poor girl.. but only if it's very bad, because she takes meds as soon as Spring begins, to keep the hayfever in check...

No not used the dryer yet.. annoyingly I'd literally done the laundry just the day before it arrived..so I've not go to play with it or check it out yet...

Yesterday, because I thought it was warm, I went out without a jacket and was freezing - shivering in fact!! When I came home, I wrapped myself up in the heated throw until I thrawed out. 😰

Today, it is another lovely day but, I wore a jacket and am glad I did as it is still chilly. Got some errands done and bought some boring things we needed; cleaning stuff etc.

About 4 years ago, I bought a white cotton summer top to take on holiday, I loved it so much that the following summer I bought another one, the year after that, I bought another one and, today I bought the latest one. Each year there have been slight changes to the design but, essentially they are the same thing and I tend to wear them a lot when it gets really warm. I am thinking that I have probably got enough versions of it now though :)

Hope everyone is well.

Today, I'm cleaning the bathrooms, vaccuming, dusting, and a load of laundry. I am down for the count already. This old gal is getting tired. If I get back up off the sofa, I may continue to clean....or I may not.
We have storms moving in this evening, and rain for the next few days.

Well derr. It's a Kia. Be glad the steering wheel hasn't fallen off yet.
that's unfair.. in the Uk in many car polls.. in long realibility lists, the Kia is in the top 5 for reliability.. just beaten by Lexus.. and Toyota....

In fact I've almost made my mind up my next car will be a Kia... shhhh tho' I don't want my very loyal current Ford to hear me I have the windows open...🤫

I'm serious tho'...I'm almost certain at this juncture that when my Ford gives up the fight.. then my next car will be a Kia... (y)

I'd have loved to dig @hearlady's weeds if not for being busy digging my own weeds. Nice try, though.

DD decided that she was better enough (day five) to visit the Aldi Aisle of Shame. I went, too. And they had that potting bench that I've coveted! Woohoo and stuff. It's not assembled yet because we also went to the garden center, and I had to plant some of the stuff that followed me home. Now I'm too tired.

Tomorrow is another day.

DD said she's feeling fine, just a bit tired, but going to work tomorrow. When she's done, we'll visit the other garden center.

About Kia: They get good reviews and aren't as expensive as most others, but in this country, they're among the most stolen cars/SUVs. That raises the cost of insurance. That's the one thing that would give me pause if I were in the market for wheels.

Well I gave in and tried the new dryer. ..even tho' nothing needed washing..so I took off the clothes I was wearring.. and the towels from the bathroom, and washed them, to test out the dryer... Fabulous it works a treat...(y)

Then I vacc'd out my car ready to take down for the oil change and the wiper fitting . It didn't need much cleaning inside so I was done in 5 minutes.. but I always work on the premise if you take a car to the garage and it looks like you don't care about it, then neither will they

Kia's don't get stolen in the uk very much..they're not of great value and the Boy racers don't want them. High value 4x4's are the most common stolen. and they're shipped to Eastern Europe.. and CHina... and Boy racers are almost always interested in the smaller but faster Ford Fiestas

We are having a slow day.
Didn't get any mail.
Hubby cleaned the thrash out of the ditch & raked leaves.

I put away some of our laundry.
Hubby's brother stopped by.
I sat & listened to them talk.

Hubby surprised me by going to get us Sub sandwiches.
Bread was very dry in them. ??
Poor hubby his good deed didn't go unpunished... .

I got a second wind and started putting the potting bench together. It's going to have to be painted or stained or something or it'll warp for sure. It's gonna be cute and functional. Yay. I'll finish it up tomorrow because sore fingers.

Geez. It's gonna be a busy day. Laundry. Weeds. Creeping phlox to plant. Sunpatiens to plant. Potting bench to finish and stain or paint. I'd rather stain. Maybe there's some in the garage.

And...a visit to the other garden center. That'll be the fun part. I hope they have plants that need to come home with me.

This morning I had a phone call from work: "Could I help?" I reminded them that I had a dental appointment at 12:00 midday, had made sure that it was known, especially when the shifts changed. The caller was unaware. He said he would call me back.

My dental treatment was all done by half twelve. Walking back to my car, my phone rings, it's work again. This time I was available to help. At half past four, having just finished, my lady phoned me asking me to meet her in Fabricland, a fabric shop about three miles away. Once there she showed me various buttons for the new trousers that she's making for me. I made my choice, the lady concurred and I took her for coffee.

This evening my new trousers were chalk marked where the buttons and button holes will go, she does that whilst I am wearing them, it's known as a fitting. It's why her work always looks so professional. I left her with the buttons whilst I cooked our meal. It's still Lent, we have given up meat for Lent. Tonight I cooked Mushroom Stroganoff, I use the BBC Recipe.
