How is your day Today? Chat about your plans and achievements 2025....

Okay, then. I promised myself that I'd do at least three things every day. There are so many things to do that it'll take until the late spring of 2032 at the rate of three a day :ROFLMAO:.

However...so far today I've done a load of laundry and have another in the washer as we speak. The garden has been watered and some flowers deadheaded. A light dose of potassium has been added to the guara. And I even pulled some blankety-blank weeds. One more thing...vacuum. Wait. A couple more things...the laundry has to be dried and folded/hung up. I really should wash the bed linens, too. That's more than three. At this rate, maybe it'll all get done by early spring 2032.

Aaaand...vacuuming done. Where are my medals?

@Jules, my next move is to The Oven, then sharing DH's urn. The kids will have to deal with Stuff, not that I have much Stuff...nine pieces of furniture including two bookcases and precious little other Stuff because there's not enough storage space for much.

If there's any doubt that my kids were raised in a home that celebrates All Things Jane Austen, here's a conversation from today:

Son (from front end of house): "Mom, would you grace us with your presence for a minute please?"

Me (slightly snarky--normal for him and me) "I'll check my shed-ule to see if I have an opening."

Son: "I just need you to take a turn around the pecan tree and tell me which limbs to cut." ;):D

I know I said last time I posted weeks ago that I was just going to the shops , I got kinda waylaid on the way back... and ended up in through the door in the wardrobe.. but not exactly in Narnia...

....so if I've missed anything important will someone tell me and bring me up to speed.

Still poorly.. but on the mend... whole story on the other thread... but had my plastic surgeon appt today.. and they removed the the first half of the cast on my hand so I'm able to use my fingers, atho' not my hand per se.. well that means I can now type on the forum... altho' not as much as usual, because I have to keep my right hand in a sling across my chest and upwards to try and keep the swelling down, currently it's still swollen badly, black and blue, and of course still mending from the break...

Anyway I've missed most of you.. and I'm pretty much back as best as I can be for now... (y) 🌺

Since I was such a lazy bones yesterday, I started early (after the morning prayer) straightening up in the living room and cleaning up the kitchen, which I fell asleep before I could do last night. I also caught up with and wrote some posts on that other social media site. :) Still didn't accomplish everything I had intended. Well, tomorrow is another day.

Today at a restaurant this boy, about 6, tried to push me away and struggled to get in between me and a display case, while I was waiting for my order. There were several people around so I could not move away. He kept pushing and I told him to quit. He then left and came back and tried to move me away by putting his feet up and pushing me while leaning on the wall. I said stop and his father heard me and told him to get out of the way.

He did move when the father and 5 other of his children left. Obviously he wasn't taught manners and was just being mean. It makes me not want to go there again.
Don't one experience with a child sour you. They are learning how to behave and you didn't spank him. Lol

It was yesterday. Normal training at the gym, but my old partner showed up. She's nearly 80 and a English speaking-world renown reading researcher and author. My kid's hero as well!

Went on a mc ride w my future s-i-l (not official). He's very good rider and great person to ride with, he could easily leave me in the dust. I took him up the N Fk Big Lost. It was cold, windy and we got spritzed on a bit. Didn't see any big game or grouse.

Today went for a 200 mile rt outing on the 900. I had to alter my route as I came on a chip and seal operation so I didn't make it to Lowman and the S Fk Payette. Saw around 25 antelope in 2 groups, a pair of SH Cranes, 4 hawks(northern harrier, redtails) 1 deer, but no grouse. Only took 1 pic overlooking Titus Lake turnout.

We have a number of visitor appointments today. Someone will be giving us a quote on removals and storage later on this morning. We are also expecting a visit from the agent who will be selling our house. Then a little later still, our vintage MG is about to become a local celebrity. (Chances are that little tale might not happen, but more if it does.)

It's trout and almonds for our meal this evening so I shall be off to the trout farm, (curious name,) for a couple of fresh trout. After our meal we are off out for a visit to friends. It's actually for my wife to measure her friend for an oufit she's making for her.

Do you get the whole fish or have it fileted? We don't have a fish monger/seafood market close. They do sale fish at the grocery store. I know they receive it frozen. I would like availability to a shop that carries fresh, caught one day, overnighted that day and available in the freshest way,

Of course, where you are situated with all the oceans there I am sure you get the freshest of everything.

Pro net em from the Mississippi, toss the crap and put the rest after rapid ripping
in the cooler for sale the next day.

I liked fishing upriver for fresh Walleyes, they are the best Fish fry. We stock our lake with several 1000
every spring. Walleyes are sort of a Timid fish with a whim of current passing.

It takes a technique to catch the grownups.

The trout farm has a big circular pool. the water is constantly rotating anticlockwise, it creates an artificial current, just as the fish would experience wild in a river. You have to ask for your trout by weight, the fish is then netted, quickly despatched, cleaned and gutted. The head and tail can be left or removed, your choice. You are right about freshness, the trout are so fresh that they often curl when cooked.

We have river behind my house on the edge of the woods which is full of rainbow trout. I am a big fan of smoked trout...

Sunny start to the morning...🌞🌷i'm still just using my left hand to type because altho' they freed my fingers yesterday, the hand is still badly injured so it has to be elevated to try and reuce the mahoosive swelling.... so i'll try where possible just to use my left hand.

I got an amazing 6 hours sleep last night, with the help of the anti-spasm meds...restless and sore if i turned, but still..6 hours.. brilliant...

well I'm setting here wishing, wishing I could dare to go outside, but in this heat it would knock me down, no doubt...
Need to find something in side to keep me busy, or not!!! ;)
Same here hawk, I am not good at vegetating in front of the TV, got to be doing something and the heat in Mo can't break soon enough for me. Even the flies are outside staring in with dried up tongues hanging out.

Six hours! To get six hours I would need a bladder transplant. Many years before the onset of today's technology, when most people had no idea of a qwerty keyboard, handwriting was the order of the day. A incident had left me with a severed radius and ulna, the bones in the forearm. You would be amazed at how proficient I became at writing left-handed.

There's a postscript about that fracture that will make you smile. Fortunately I made a good recovery, I regained full dexterity of the arm but unfortunately the arm would not stretch out fully straight. It is now bent, but almost unnoticeable, since the kink is at the elbow. The amusement about it comes from dancing. Whenever we had a dance move that had us hand-in-hand with the other arm outstretched my wife would bend her arm slightly so that our appearance was uniform. Ah the price of love!

Welcome back dear lady, you might be getting a bill for a new prayer book shortly. I have worn the pages out of my current one, praying for your recovery.

@hollydolly So happy to see you posting on here again. Sounds good about your sleep and typing with left hand. Do what your doctor said about your right hand. Do not overdo anything else at that this time. 🤗
