Just the usual wait, wait, wait for a service person to show. He was supposed to be here AT 8. He called at 9 and said he'd be here shortly. It's 9:43....think he's here yet? Of course not.

This job is going to cost us $3600. I would think he'd be eager to get that in his pocket, wouldn't you say? It's also hotter 'n hell. I'd want to get started early if I was out digging.

Sigh.

Me, too! What are you having done?

Good morning, Invisipeeps! I was so focused on my three things to do today that I got started and forgot to post.

Anyway, the garden has been watered, a couple of mona lavender transplanted, some weeds pulled and flowers deadheaded. And I've been out and got my hair cut. Going out later to get a spark plug for the leaf blower. That'll be three after the spark plug is replaced. And there are still things to do. Yay.

Speaking of hot...we're going to get some 100-degree days about mid-week. The weathernerds carry on like it's something unusual. But hey! It's summer. We're in Georgia. SMH!

Fridays get me all confused...Friday always feels like Saturday, and today is no exception. It didn't help that I got my hair cut this morning because that's something that I almost always have done on a Saturday.

@hawkdon Does your place have a/c?

@KitKat Feel free to jump in🏊‍♀️.

Having stent surgical procedure on Thursday. No circulation whatsoever, none. I'm surprised I can walk at all. Yesterday, walked for 80 minutes in two shifts. Doc says I must walk 2 hours a day if I don't want to wind up in a wheelchair. I went to my park's back field and just walked the circumference over & over, had nowhere to actually go. Today will be like 100 degrees, so my exercise was laundry. Extremely painful but I would rather be in pain than lose the ability to walk. Doc was very serious. Son was with me, and he asked great questions. I'm so glad he was able to come with me.

Doc is very aware of my anxiety problem. He's seen it.

Good morning and happy Friday the 25th of July! My grand niece arrives today. BBQ here tomorrow with our kids and grands (her cousins). There's an 8 year gap between her and my oldest grand (GS), but due to my niece's annual visits they've become close friends and email frequently. My GS is completely charmed by her - she's the older sister he never had.

Oh my goodness, that's sure a scary wake-up call! Please listen to your doc and do the exercise. {{{hugs}}}

The waterpipe from the water main to the house is leaking. It's not only raising the water bill, it's undermining things.

The new pipe has to go under the sidewalk, around a massive oak, across the yard and under the fence to the side of the house, so it's complicated.

It's no fun having to spend money on stuff like this, but it is what it is....

My 1st stent was one at the cardio-iliac to my legs. I was 80% blocked. It was amazing when that got opened up, Haven't knocked me down since in walking. Good Luck and Have a Successful surgery!

So I went over to my storage unit to pick up some of my canned goods that I prefer not to store in my vehicle along with my medication it's nice keeping it in a temperature controlled area.

While sorting through I found a cheese slicer I had totally forgotten I had bought two of and so I happily put it in my bag. Only to find out when I opened it that one side of it is broken and I am so far beyond the Amazon window for returns that I'm just going to have to deal with it.

But it beats having to slice up my spam by hand now so actually it's a good day.

Two minor disappointments - a woman was supposed to come at 10am and look at plants I had for sale. Of course she never showed up.

The last Friday of the month senior social was scheduled for 11 am, but when I got to the community center, there was a sign on the door - "No Senior Social in July - See you on August 29th". This is the second time this happened and I was never notified. The group leader has my email! I even wonder if they will have it in August. The 29th is the Friday starting the Labor Day weekend.

I know you'll walk around your apt. If it's too hot or cold. I used to do that in my office when no-one was in there.
Sorry you have to have the procedure but you need circulation. 🤗

I drove over an hour today to attend a vintage motorcycle swap meet, only to discover general admission was $75!
Who would have benefited from that entrance fee?

I know a local antique show that's held in May and August. They charge dealers $100 to set up, then charge lookers an entrance fee ($10 to get in on Friday, then $5 for Saturday and Sunday). So you have to pay to look at stuff you probably wouldn't buy because the dealers have to mark it up to cover their costs.

Have a large batch of sweet corn to get ready to go into the freezer.
That should see us through the winter.

While at the farm market ,, hubby bought another zucchini for me to fry.

At the local grocery store bought about 2 pounds of ground beef ,, to freeze.
Made porky pine balls (ground meat & instant rice )with some.
The finished product was Tough!

Earlier hubby had picked up piece of beef & I told him,, "You know I can't. cook any piece of beef.. that it doesn't turn TOUGH !"
Guess I should stick to making soups?
