Alright... took off my auto mechanics hat, and put on the plumbers hat. Re-did the silicone around the wife's tub, then, went and installed the on demand hot water heater under the kitchen sink. No more running the huge hot water heater to wash a few dishes. :)
Edit... I forgot my chef's hat as I scratch made my fur babies treats. (oat powder mixed with banana's and peanut butter).
 
Had to run to CVS for Rx and Aldi next door for mushrooms I forgot to buy last time.

Aldi had eggs for 3.97 a doz., limit 2. I bought 1. This is madness, but it's worse in CA...it's price gouging IMO!

What was that famous line in the movie Network?

Aldi was crazy busy. I'd never been on a Sun. that I remember. I asked and was told Sun. is always a madhouse.

My great friend, who is also my accountant, and my pickle ball buddy, wanted her office parking striped. She knew I had done this chore periodically for 35 years. It was forecast temps to be 77 yesterday!
I had thought the hardware store's shaker was going to mix the yellow paint (latex), but it didn't. She said, "Let's go to my Dad's lumber yard, we've got one. While shaking two cans outside, she helped sell 16 foot shiplap to customers. She started in the lumber yard when about 6...lol.
Old timey mixer worked!!! I painted a small line start to show her, then handed it off!!! We had a successful day. She had forgotten an important lunch date. I went exhausted, to an adult birthday party! Great day! I love her!

I've been cooped up for the past couple days recovering from my pneumonia,not going outside for my daily walks I've been walking our long hallways to get the exercise couple times/day
I feel 80% better so this afternoon I ventured outside all bundled up,Velcro hat covering my face temp was 28 with a slight breeze. I walked to the end of Canterbury Woods entrance by the signal light and walked back. It felt great, the breeze didn't bother me
 
I tried a new recipe for dinner: chicken and wild rice casserole. It was absolutely delicious! I'll be adding it to my collection.

Unfortunately, I had so many dirty dishes that I couldn't find my counter top! I washed most of them while dinner was in the oven, and the rest after we were done eating.

After dinner we watched the Clint Eastwood movie "Pale Rider". Of course we've seen it a gazillion times before, but it's been a while since the last time. I totally enjoyed it!

When the movie was over, I dozed off and napped.....I've just gotten up. It's almost time to brush my teeth and to take my shower, before bedtime.

It's kinda' funny: I never stepped out of the house today....not even once!

Ugggh! I just looked out the window. There are a few flurries coming down. It's the first snow of this winter. 🙁

Saw my neighbor lady leave for
job work, she is RN i think,
about 5 minss later saw her come back...could not get up the
hilly side street!!
on another note, I saw ONE sqirrel ccome down the tree, run abt 15 feet thru the snow, turned around and scampered back up the tree LOL.....
 
Mornin' folks... it's 9.45am, heavy rain.... I had a terrible nights sleep , probably only slept for an hour...

Waiting now for the garage to call me to tell me that they've repaired my car , and I can then get a bus down to the garage, and pick it up... The buses only run every hour until 5pm then they stop ..

I'm pleased it's raining and not snowing as it is in the rest of the country... even 10 miles away in the next large town... ..because I wasn't lookig forward to driving in the snow. We don't have winter tyres here..well at least... 99 % of the populace don't have them.. so it's a bit of nightmare when it snows ..

I had plans today and now, I haven't :( I woke up with what feels like a heavy cold so, I will be staying at home, keeping warm and hoping that tomorrow will be a better day.

It's noon now I've just rung the garage and my car still isn't ready..all the works' been done but it's still waiting to have it's re-test..so annoying because they promised me it would be ready by noon at the latest, and he's now saying he won't have a slot until this afternoon some time for the retest!

Morning folks.....wow it is a mess out there, 11deg F right now only going to 20F later...two foot of snow on my front porch, cannot open front door, about the same at back door...gonna
have to spare some change and hire someone to clean this mess...welcom to missouri in january.....
 
A heckuva way to start the week @hollydolly. Maybe by the time you read this, you'll have already been to collect your car.

It rained all night and is a warm 49 right now. A cold front is going to blow through starting in about an hour or so, and the temp will drop all day to about 25 by sunset. We probably won't get back up even to the 40s until next week. Maybe some sNOw on Friday.

There was no trip to Goodwill yesterday but might be a trip to Walmart today.

Time to shower and dress and stuff.

Yeah, it’s blowing down here for sure…. Not cold yet but the wind is strong enough that it toppled the very full trash bin waiting by the side of the road and I had to run out, chase loose trash, and bring the bin back to the carport.

I guess I’ll be watching for the trash truck this afternoon 🙄
 
My horoscope is terrible today! I check several trusted sources. I better watch out! I've been warned!

It's supposed to start snowing here in NYC soon. One inch expected. First Monday of 2025. 2025. Who knew I'd make it? I'm amazed.

Howard Stern is back from vacation and is new, live now on Sirius, talking with Nikki Glaser after her fantastic job as host of Golden Globes. I watched it. Love award shows, especially the clothes! "Shogun" raked it in, deservedly so, IMO.

I'm finishing another inherited quilt top today. This one could be a Christmas quilt with it's green and patterned diamond quilt pieces. I'm sewing it to a green furry fleece blanket. This one is my favorite!
It's going to be a rainy day.
