I had a shopping cart get away from me when I was a kid. It was very windy out. The cart took off, rolled quickly toward the back of the lot, kind of downhill back there so it picked up speed... it hit a car at the bottom, looked like the cart jumped a foot off the ground when it hit the car!

My DIL was at work when I arrived, son getting ready for work, showering, dressing, eating, etc. GS calls him in from bedroom. Son comes in, kindly reminds GS he is rushing to get ready, and why did he call him in?

I can barely hold back the tears of happiness. This is My son, my baby, being loved so much by his. If a heart could burst with joy, mine would have.

Yesterday after an appointment went out lunch. In December we bought restaurant gift cards and they included a bonus card that had to be used by the end of Feb. We gave the cards to ourselves. Great lunch.
Watched an ambulance pull into the subdivision. I don’t know this couple, just that they’re quite a bit older than the rest of us old folks. They just bought their house a few months ago and are rarely out and about. It started me thinking again what type of place and where we’d move.

I too was at the dentist yesterday, fuly expecting extractions, but no..I didn't have any work done...so I fared very much better than you... I hope you feel better quickly...A new light layer of snow in the last couple days. Temp hovering around 0*C (32F), forecast is for intermittent rain today.
Yesterday morning I had dental surgery. The dentist is very good, and a quite likable guy. The usual weeping of blood during the rest of the day, captured in gauze packing. Dosing with naproxen & acetaminophen every 4 hours, and swelling decreased. Though increased a bit during night sleep, so I dosed again at about 1:30am.
Today I go in for a follow-up. I'll be drinking a lot of my food for several days. I look forward to eating normally again! Wishing everyone a good day.

you have got that right... absolutely on the money....
I don't even think he presented as the real person during our marriage, that I've learned he is this last almost 4 years I think he's ultimately quite evil.... ...and I didn't know that all through 2 decades of marriage ..and 10 years friendship before that ...he hides it so well...
...and yet.. casual aquaintences said to me 30 years ago or more ago, when he was just a friend, nothing more... they said to me there's something about that guy that is very unsettling, they would often say that he gave them the creeps.. and I would think...how , what are they seeing, they didn't even know him properly, most of them had only spoken to him once or twice,,, ...
I'm not a person who is attracted to creepy types, . not that I was attracted to him then, he was just my friend..I was already in a relationship, but to me he was just a nice, pleasant, albeit quiet guy... .... but as those friends predicted ... he is what they said he was.. they saw something in him that I only got tiny glimpses of during 2 decades of marriage... How ?..I'll never know...

Well done!!Very windy here today.
I grocery-shopped, pushed the cart into the metal holding area in the parking lot and started to get in my car…. Watched my cart slowly back out of the pen, pirouette like a figure skater, and started across the parking lot.
Caught it in time lol.

You're not going to believe this...I can barely believe it...
I got a bit of a frantic message from my DD via whatsapp asking if I was ok, as she couldn't get hold of me by landline.... I text back and said that I was here, and I would try and ring her ...which I did... it rang out ok, she picked up, and she said.. who are you ?.. and I said pardon..?..it's mum... she said not on this number you're not...
I thought she was losing her mind ..I said of course it is , it's me calling you at home using my home phone .. she said no mum... not on the number that's on my display... which is a completely different number to yours...
So I rang the internet provider with whom I have my landline as well as my Mobile phone .. and said what's going on.. anyone calling me is getting a message saying my number is temporarily unavailable.. and I haven't had any calls for 2 days on that phone.. and when I call out people are reporting that it's coming from a different number, unrecognised to them
Well it took 3 people.. and an hour and a half to tell me that without my knowledge when they installed the new fibre optic.. they changed my landline number... no-one told me in advance, and no-one told me when they were changing it, and certainly no-one gave me the new number
I was furious !! I absolutely almost lost the plot.. that's my landline number i've had for decades and they've just removed it without my consent.. or even informing me it would happen
I then asked, why are my callers getting the message saying the line is temp unavailable.. which gives the impression the line is broken and will be back to normal soon.. their reply was.. ''it's just the number is temporary unavailable until it's assigned to someone else
I'm still in shock !!

no the barn roof is Numero uno.. and a couple of other jobs, he only came to have a look to see what needs doing and how long it will take and give me a price. he wanted to come Monday but I have to be at the doctors on Monday, so he changed to wednesday . he's a very much in demand guy cuz his prices are very competitive.. so he can only come when he's got a gap in his diary

What a week this has been..absolutely can't belive all this stress in just 3 days.. Tuesday with all the phone lines being changed over, the drilling & hammering,workmen in my house.. and the handyman here showing him around and talking to him about what needs doing and a walk through... yesterday the dentist.. and all the time feeling really poorly... then today the the zoom meeting with the lawyer and all the stress that causes.. and then this theft of my phone number and spending all that time on the phone trying to get answers.. all this in just 72 hours...

Hollydolly, my New York State non driver's license has my ID#, my picture, home address, birthdate,when card was issued/expiration date I've had one for yrs
I use it for ID when I forget to bring my bank card, whenever I go on a airplane Sue

Yes we have ID cards here but that's what they're called... mostly for the younger generation, because in this country you don't need to carry or even have ID unlike the USA... so really the youngsters get an ID just so they can prove they're of a certain age for certain things, ... but no-one else needs one if they've been born in the UK... migrants do tho'...
