Hi Folks!!! Big double whooeeee today, one for sleep and one
for raccoon.....took extra sleep dose last nite only woke once
so slept thru till 630am yayaa......then looked out back door and
there is the "coon" in the live trap yayaya......they will prob come
today and take it away then reset the trap, just in case ya know....wow feel good again!!!! :):p:coffee:🤩
 
I've just come off the phone to Apple...

Last month I changed my 2 TB of apple storage over to my name, and my Payment method..from my husband's who had previously being paying for it as Family sharing

Today the usual monthly receipt came to say it had been paid.. but it was still in my husbands name.. altho' it showed that payment was coming from MY bank and not his.. so I called Apple to get this sorted out..

I was on the phone for best part of 45 minutes.. only to find out that because he listed himself as the ''organiser''.. on my computer.. I can't take him off from either my computer family sharing because he's listed as the Organiser... or the billing... so altho' the payments are coming from MY bank the receipts are in his name..

How mad is that ?

Good morning, I think. My eyes are kind of wonky this morning. Maybe I've spent too much time online? Anyway, gonna try to stay offline more today and give 'em a rest.

DGD just came over to ask if I've already eaten breakfast because she's cooking. Um. Yeah? It's 9am.

Surprisingly, I've found that I like egg whites in the carton. I get Kirkland (Costco) brand. I've even subbed it for chopped hard boiled egg in my broccoli salad when I was out of eggs. My son found a dozen eggs at Amazon Fresh for around $3.50 (another surprise). Next time he goes, if they are too much higher, I won't get them. I am going to tell him to get two cases of egg whites on his next Costco run though. Hopefully their price hasn't increased too much.

For the longest, Kirkland egg whites have been $10.69 for a case containing 6 cartons. That's the equivalent of paying $2 a dozen. Not long ago, whole eggs could be gotten for that price on sale, but sometimes I don't use them up fast enough. Out of the last 4 cartons of eggs I bought, I wound up throwing away 9 eggs (and yes, I did the egg in water test first). Prices are too high to waste like that now. Another reason I like using egg whites is that I'm a lazy cook and they are less of a hassle than cracking eggs, plus they're always readily available.

I was surprised you were finding eggs for $3.50 and checked Amazon Fresh for our address. The least expensive available to us is $6.09, close to the $5.99 in the store we use and way better than the $13.00 The Co-op, (where my husband works) is charging for their eggs.

I like the cartons too, but mine are not the egg whites but the substitute (Egg Beaters) that use egg whites.

This reminds me of the coffee shortage in the 70's.
 
Today we are having a family reunion with my husband's cousins in Orlando. We will be a minimum of 10 people, perhaps even more if the children come as well.
I am looking forward to it. We have not seen them for a long time.
The weather is sunny and warmer than it has been in these past days so it will be quite pleasant.
I am not looking forward to the ride. I dislike car ride and crazy highways!😁
 
Soon you Canadians will experience Uzbekistani Restaurants, if you haven't already. I can tell who your immigrants are, just based on living in NYC. Georgians were among the last rush, starting in my neighborhood about 20 years ago. Now, they're everywhere. Russia seems to have slowed down, probably because they aren't being let out so easily anymore. Now, it's their former satellite countries of USSR, trying to escape before Russia takes them over again.

The important thing, is, my nephew .. who chose the restaurant, and his wife, both loved the food. We didn't care for the choices we had, but, of course we didn't tell them that. The stews we had, were overcooked in the oven. The cheese-filled baked bread was good, though too filling for me, as an appetizer. I took at Lactaid tablet before eating it. There were quite a few dishes for sharing, but I was too full to sample them.
If we were invited back, by nephew, we would go .. otherwise, no.
 
Just had a fun phone conversation with exDIL who lives in London now. She's been over here visiting "our" side of the family in Boston...after all, she didn't divorce us, just him. Right?

@hollydolly exDIL and her boyfriend share expenses...that is, he pays for all the expenses related to their car...gas, maintenance, insurance, repairs...and she pays to keep the house heated. What I'm saying is that you need a BF (or maybe a sugar daddy or something?) to share expenses. Since it's almost time for warm weather, you've got from now until maybe October to find one. LOL It'll still be your place so still your roost to rule.
