Walmart, LandsEnd, Coldwater Creek, Vermont Countrystore all the way to Nordstrom. Amazon! Belle Poque, Tronjori, Allegra may work for you.Straightened up the house a bit, threw in a load of wash, ordered a couple of jean skirts (good grief- hard to find modest ones), and had a fun discussion on another forum, that IC stumbled across last night. We're only in the low 60s today, I think I'll have another cup of coffee.
Yes, Walmart actually had some decent stuff. Thanks for mentioning the others.Walmart, LandsEnd, Coldwater Creek, Vermont Countrystore all the way to Nordstrom. Amazon! Belle Poque, Tronjori, Allegra may work for you.
Oh, Monkey Grass is liriope....now I see. Yes, it is pain to move. I think I have moved all I'm going to. A few are too close to azalea roots so it stays. I have a couple more in random places that need to go. Someday.Listen up! Pay attention! It's sNOw.
Actually, @hollydolly, it's not unusual for sNOw to happen in April in many northern parts of the country. I remember sNOw on Mother's Day, second Sunday in May. In 1954 Mother's Day was on May 9. One of my brothers was born that day, and my dad had to put the plow on his Jeep to take my mother to the hospital in a blizzard. And...in the summer of 1948 or 1949 our 4th of July fireworks were cancelled because it was sNOwing.
And @hollydolly that monkey grass stuff? It's a job I absolutely loathe. It's hard, hard work. Gimme any other job in the garden! When I first put it in, I had no idea how much and how fast it spreads and how deep the roots grow (about a foot down). Damned stuff is worse than pulling weeds.

aww, are you able to refrigerate the offerings and warm them up later? That's what I do when given something after I've cooked.I have just spent a while cleaning more bird poop off my car.... it's awkward to get to because of the tree..I can't park anywhere else.. so twisting causes pain in my back. When I finished I came in scrubbed up, and started to makntBacon and egg pie from scratch.. it wasn't until I was rolling the pastry I realised just how painful my back had become.. so it was a struggle to get the pie made...
I put it in the oven.. and then went out to put the wheelie bins out and as I opened the gate my 6 foot sumthin' neighbour was behind it, with more food.... he said take thiss , you need to et it while it's hot... and I thought Oh No...my bacom and egg pie... thst I just strugged in pain to make
Now I am not ungrateful don't think I am for one minute but I wish they would let me know when they might bringing food around.. either it's after I've eaten late at night or.. occasionally like now at 6.30pm its when I'm already cooking something...
this plate is Giant.. you can't tell.. but it's very big, and the wrap is full of Fries .. shredded chicken, cucumber and some spicy sauce or other.. and the fingers are cheesy type pastries...

I couldn't resist a little try of them.. and it is delicious tbh... but I can't eat it because I am so looking forward to my bacon and Egg pie...
the icing on the cake was that the neighbour took my bins out for me.. 2 recycling wheelie bins.. I didn't even ask him![]()
Not this one it's chicken covered in some type of cucumber white sauce.. with fries.. I can't reheat that unfortunately..Yes, Walmart actually had some decent stuff. Thanks for mentioning the others.

the trouble is I already have plenty.. I have 2 freezers and a fridge full of food...@hollydolly you will have plenty to eat!
I understand that, anyone near Canada... snow, snow, snow... lol... but how long is it since you lived there ?Well, at least we know that @hollydolly is in no danger of starving, but I wish she'd share because DD just said she's not cooking tonight. I wouldn't mind the bacon and egg pie or any of the neighbor's offering.
BTW @hollydolly, the sNOw I mentioned? My hometown is so far north just a few miles south of the south shore of Lake Superior, that we call it South Canada. We jokingly say it's only a mile from the end of the earth.
Used to be that we'd get at least 300" of sNOw between about mid-October until mid-April, and many days of -40F temps. Now a normal season is maybe 100-150" of sNOw and not likely any days of temps colder than -10-15F. So, yes, we've heard of climate change
If we wait long enough, people will go up there to spend their winters where the weather is tropical.
We moved to Kentucky in 2008. The brother I'm close to still lives up there and gives me updates weekly.I understand that, anyone near Canada... snow, snow, snow... lol... but how long is it since you lived there ?
Hollydolly, its not unusual for this time of yr to have snow/snow flakes considering the temps were cold enough today's high was 31. Yrs ago we had some snow in early May lasted a day or so Suesnow ? OMG we've had such sunny warm weather for ages now that it never occurred to me people are still getting snow in April
They got intelligent glasses that can fix that Dolly. Myself I have a 4" diameter magnifying Lense I hold over 1 mm print to read. ...I have just sent over an hour cleaning out all the medicine drawers, of out of date medication... some of it has never even been open, such a waste... I've bagged up the pills and I'll take them to the pharmacy at some point.
On all the other meds.. I spent time writing the exp date in them in red felt pen on the front .. so I can readily see it.. the writing on the boxes are so small.. and some of these meds expiry date isn't until 2029.. goodness knows my eyesight might be bad by then,..
I have a lighted magnifying glass.. but writing the date in large print on the front of each packet means I don't have to use a magnifying glassThe got intelligent glasses that can fix that Dolly. Myself I have a 4" diameter magnifying lense I hold over 1 mm print to read. ......
No, @Georgiagranny, it’s the Gainsville branch of the Atlanta Botanical gardens@CinnamonSugar Was it Gibbs Gardens? I've wanted to go there for the longest time. I used to like Callaway Gardens, but when the Callaway family sold it, it went downhill fast. It's not pretty anymore.
I didn't know there was such a place. Gonna Google it.No, @Georgiagranny, it’s the Gainsville branch of the Atlanta Botanical gardens
I hope your business is not adversely affected by all of this. I'm seeing so many stories of business owners who are or will be.I've been busy with work related chores these past several days. No rest for the wicked, as they say.
Sorting out the myriad new tariffs' effects on our suppliers, our business and our customers' businesses are herculean tasks. We have little confidence about which tariffs will come to fruition and which will be waived, delayed, reduced, increased, or abandoned altogether in a few months. What a mess.
Beautiful weather here - high of 81° today. So I've got that going for me.
