On my early walk around 7, was lightly raining as I walk around the building before breakfast, temp was 47
Yesterday afternoon, my niece, Katie called to say she, hubby Zach& their 1 yr old son, Xavier will be coming today for lunch at 12:30,can't wait to see them
The rest of my day hope to get afternoon walk in before the rain comes
I'm eating dinner in dining room at 6 with Jerry, Bill{he lives around the corner from me},Val all church members. An ex church member, John will be joining us as well. He's been here for a fundraiser that was held Fri night,it will be nice to see him again
 
Got all the donations dropped off.. after my appointment couldn't get them to the charity shop that I would have liked them to go to because they don't have any parking, and they were too heavy for me to carry from the nearest public car park, so I had to donate them to a different Charity shop...

After my appt, I went for Coffee & tapas, ( Calamari) next door to the office.. I take these pics because I know some of you like to see inside the pubs or coffee houses..😀

Got an email saying that in less than a month Snug Harbor at Grand Haven will be opening its patio again. Nice breezes in Summer, good food, and you can watch the boats come and go.

In the evenings there are street musicians playing on the boardwalk below.

It's nice to have a few medium-priced places yet. So much of the town has gone upscale in recent years.

Happy Monday everyone! Had a great day yesterday with our bigger grandkids. Took them to a UCLA women's softball game against Washington. Great game, great crowd, several home runs. We try to see a UCLA/Washington game every year and always sit in the visiting team section because their fans are exceptionally nice. We cheer for all good plays by both teams.

We've taken the kids to UCLA SB games before. With such a small stadium (1300 capacity), they're plenty safe going to a restroom and snack bar unaccompanied. Lots of moms, dads, kids, and employees, along with student and alumni volunteers on site. A single, closely watched, entrance/exit.

Our grands enjoy watching the games, being with us, and having greater autonomy than usual. (We hand them money, tell them to buy what they want for lunch, and off they go to the snack bar.)

Cooling down today with a high of only 72°.

Good Morning Good Folks..!!!! It is bright sunny day here, 54f
going into 60's later, no rain predicted, tho may get some later...
Had my cheerios for brkfaast, thought about B & G, but pains
and aches kept that from happening...wasps, an bumblebees are stopping from sitting on front porch, they are in abundance
this year....damn things,,.....no definite plans for the day yet...

My new lawnmower arrived a few minutes ago...of course it's still all boxed up, and it weighs a ton....:eek:

I opened the side gate so the delivery driver could get it up the side of the house.. because I wouldn't be able to lift it..and I had to go and get my sack barrow, to get it up to the barn...

I bought the mower 2 days ago.. for a reduced price ..box damaged.. but mower untouched.. and got £10 off the full price for that .. I've just looked at it online again.. and they've dropped it another £10 less than I paid for it ... for an undamaged box.. ..that's very annoying..
 
@hollydolly I love looking at the pub pix. They remind me of my trips over there and how much I enjoyed sitting either inside or in their gardens.

@hawkdon It's a good thing you didn't do biscuits and gravy this morning because I've been out and about and playing in the dirt and such and would have missed out.

Yanno how last month I was as nervous as a frog on a freeway with a busted hopper about my SS check? Well...this month it showed up as a pending deposit on Thursday evening for this month's check. It also showed as pending over the weekend. It's not there today! Not. There. OMG! In the "Pending Transactions" column it says "There are no pending transactions for the next 15 days." Gasp.
 
Okay, then. I went to the SS website and looked at my record. It says my next check will be direct deposited 4/16/25. Go figure. All I can think is that when the credit union did an update and maintenance this weekend, they scratched that feature. I dunno. Guess I just wait and see.

Got a most excellent haircut this morning - also had some lowlights done, as per my every other haircut schedule. I was very specific about how I wanted my hair cut this time because my last cut was too short in some places and too long in others.

Just finishing my lunch and will soon be counting the boxes we blew off over the weekend in favor of playing with our grandkids. ❤️💙❤️
