The daisies have been planted and all the other flowers moved. Holy cow! There weren't just 18 to move, they were trading places with 18 others, so 36 plants got moved. Ask me if I'm tired! But it's done, and I'm pleased with the results. Yay. Let's hope I didn't kill any of them.

Done in the garden for today. Now I'm gonna rest.

I've written it down... the problem is I so very rarely watch Netflix... so I'll have to try and remember...

I do that too - facial, nails and hair and a long soak in the bath. :)

I hardly ever watch it, either, but a mention of this particular documentary in The Washington Post sounded interesting so I tuned in. Some parts are hard to watch. The sibs are all much older now, of course, and they're all recalling memories while the sister who made the documentary travels in Germany with a young relative to places where it all took place so many years ago and narrates the story of her travels there.

I can't exactly "enjoyed" it. It was powerful, to be sure, and a reminder that it can happen here even now.

here in Europe of course we are never allowed to forget there's not a week goes past that we don't have something similar showing on TV about the atrocities of the war... ..I know..I know ''lest we forget''... but really sometimes I think, we need to get over this it's been 80 years....
 
I sorted laundry then went down to the laundry room again this morning just before sunrise, for the second time this week. I think that is going to be my time to get laundry done. No one down there again. The other double loader was also repaired and it’s good to have both working again. Easy load of large pieces…an all weather coat, 2 jackets, 2 skirts and a jumper, none of which needs pressing. I used Downy wrinkle releaser on the coat and one jacket. It worked better than I expected.

I deleted some files and photos to free up space on my tablet, which is also supposed to make it respond faster. I also took time to download some songs and playlists on my phone and tablet. Late afternoon I took the garbage and recyclables to the dumpster and recyclable bin. The only thing left to do tonight is load and run the dishwasher after I eat and take my meds.

I forgot I don't have Netflix any more. Remember I changed the whole TV/Internet/phone package back in March ?... I'd forgotten I told them to take Netflix off, because I never watch it.. so I didn't remember until this evening when I went to look at it, and told me to register for Netflix...oh well... I won't be signing up for it again...

Went for or shingles jabs yesterday. We knew that it potentially had a lot of side effects, but didn't anticipate that we would have them ALL.
Went to bed,aching, shivering, sore head etc... and needless to say, we didn't get a good night's sleep. Feeling half alive today, but still very achey . Weather is mild, dry, but windy so I doubt if much work will be done today.

Good foggy morning. Last night we had real rain instead of the sprinkling that doesn't much help.

I gotta get dressed and get going...the mulch didn't spread itself and won't. Darn. It would be nice to get the finishing touches (mulch) done so that I can get to resetting a few pavers. It's a big job, and there are about a half dozen that need to be reset. Where are my gardening Heinzelmännchen when I need them?

My early morning walk around 7, lightly raining temp 55 as I went across the street to the convient store bought today's paper for myself& friend Connie
I have no plans today, a good day to get some paper work done,read the paper. I hope to take a mid morning walk if its not raining too hard
At dinner tonight, at 5:30 one of the residents , Father Bob{retired priest} we'll be celebrating his 91st birthday. Connie made reservations a couple day ago so we could sit in the private dining room that seats 8 Two of Bob's friends will be joining us. I look forward to this, not very often I get to sit in the private dining room
 
Aww @hawkdon, I'm so sorry that you're in such terrible pain. I hope it eases as the day goes on.

@Capt Lightning, I feel for you. The shingles shots, particularly the first one, were an absolute misery for a couple of days.

I hope you and the Mrs. are back in the pink soon. From everything I've heard, shingles are a long, horrible experience, so enduring the side effects of the vaccine are a reasonable trade-off.
 
Thanks StarSong. Bob Mortimer, a comedian and TV personality was laid up for 6 months with Shingles. During this he appeared in some shows in a wheelchair, and temporarily lost the use of a leg. If it's ever available, watch Mortimer and Whitehouse go fishing. It's one of these funny/serious programmes where two old friends go fishing and talk about life, the universe and everything.

Guess what! The mulch has been spread (without the help of garden Heinzelmännchen). Now the garden is all dressed up, and all it has to do now is grow and bloom.

I even took a minute to use the SunJoe clipper on some dead azalea branches. Okay, 20 minutes. Or maybe 30.

DD and DGD went Walmarting. I declined with polite thanks because I'd really rather play in the dirt.
