actually I started in 2024.....I just realized that we are still posting on last years thread!
I started a new one for 2036, and I am looking forward to seeing everyone!
Really? I thought you started a new one every year!actually I started in 2024.....
I really wish Amazon would branch out with more options. I mention the problems with USPS in every online chat I have with customer service (which are all prompted by missing/damaged deliveries) just so it gets on the record. I suppose I shouldn't complain given that I am a Prime member and thus do not pay for shipping, but the ineptitude of the local USPS here drives me batty. It's been nothing but continual problems, for years, and at more than one address.Everywhere else online regardless of where I buy it except for amazon..it's a lottery as to who gets to deliver it. Most often it's Royal mail.. then there's a myriad of delivery companies, some very bad..others not quite as bad...
.......Evri......DPD......Yodel (bad)... DHL (bad) ........UPS.....FEDEX.....Cityprint........Tuffnels....APC.......Whistl............
I agree... it may be a minor irritant in the great scheme of things.. but it's very annoying just the same. It's basicallly a terrible customer service, and particularly so when we pay a prime membership for this service...I really wish Amazon would branch out with more options. Ah well. I should be glad to have such a minor problem. And I am!
I don't change the guest rooms' bedding between older GK visits as they are our most frequent guests. 4 year old GS sleeps in our room because the guest rooms are in another wing of the house. If someone other than our GKs is slated to spend the night, I change the bedding before & after their visits.@StarSong, what’s your system for handling bedding. You almost have as many different guests and as often as a mini hotel.
I have similar glasses, but I did not get them with a prescription (I don't need one for driving). I thought they worked great! I hope you like yours!Afternoon peeps of SF..... it's another glorious Sunny day....![]()
I was going to go out .. but I changed my mind because it was thick ice first thing, but it melted by noon..., tomorrow is going to be just as sunny, so I'll go then... it will suit me better
This morning Royal Mail delivered my new Night vision prescription glasses that I bought from an online optician.
They're just like any normal glasses but slightly yellow tinted and they're made specifically for night driving.... with all the high beam lights coming towards me in our narrow unlit country roads it puts me off driving at night now ..and I used to enjoy driving in the dark...in fact I learned to drive in the dark !...so I'm looking forward to trying these..
Have the best Sunday you can....folks![]()
I think you're right, @StarSong.@KSav, I think your Amazon orders are shipped via USPS because you're in a rural area and/or are far from the closest Amazon warehouse. Understandably, they ship the cheapest way possible. It's a bummer that your USPS is so unreliable; can you have the deliveries made to an Amazon locker instead of your home?
I haven't tried them yet because I only got them this morning, and I haven't been driving tonight ( it;s dark but there's icy roads)... but they look like regular distance glasses but with the slight yellow tinge to the lenses..I dodn't know if you can see the yellow in these photosI have similar glasses, but I did not get them with a prescription (I don't need one for driving).
