@hollydolly, I don't have any solutions, but I am sending you a hug! I'm sorry you're in so much pain.
Bless you.. thank you... I'm just whining really...🥴 I'm normally very stoic when it comes to pain, but this is something else...... and I'm sure the co-codomol would help ease the pain, if I took it regularly but it's a horrible med for casuing constipation so because it creates another problem while easing the first, I don't like to take it unless I realllllly really need to ..like now...

Hip pain that feels like.burning kerosene and won’t let one sleep, is no fun. I had A2M done on my hip and slept without any pain the first night. No insurance, I had to borrow money, that’s how bad the burning pain was.

Topical arnica or prescription 5% lidocaine patches might bring some relief. Indomethacin is a prescription NSAID for osteoarthritis, so it may help some.

@hollydolly, I'm so sorry to hear about your worsened hip pain. Do you think it's related to the foot pain you had from wearing those loafers as you worked your way through Costco? (When one part of my body hurts, my body automatically adjusts my posture or gait to ease the pain. More often than not, the next day I suffer entirely different pain from those compensations.) Hope you're feeling better soon.

May all have a lovely day today!

No I really don't think the foot pain caused by the shoes was the problem..I think because I drove 30 miles.. then after I got there, and after I'd been around Costco..I then drove to several other places all within a mile or 2 of each other, and short jaunts like that using a manual car and in and out of the car... every few minutes ... is quite hard on the body, if there's a weakeness there of any type.. and of course I was carrying al the heavy stuff myself as well...

even at the charity donation centre, I was able to get a guy to come and take the stuff out of my car.. because that was heavy too

My hip was already quite sore driving from there to the next larger town to Costco in the first place but not disablingly so...... it was only when I started to come home it was complaining very loudly... and again.. unloading the car...5 trips.. heavy items.. etc... 🥴

Thanks for that Imogene, all very useful info.....I've not even thought of topical patches.. I may ask about those.. and I just googled Indometacin, and apparently it IS prescribed here for arthritic pain, so knowing that I have arthritis in both my hands and my knees..I wonder why the GP hasn't already prescribed that.. ...so now I'll ask when they call if there's any reason I can't have it... thank you... 🤗

BTW I just posted this on the ''war'' thread... on our next door app... people are saying that some garages have already increased the price of fuel.. which of course i a diabolical liberty because prices of oil haven't increased yet, and even if they had no-one should be paying extra for fuel that's already here...

Costco however hasn't increased their prices.. but apparently the queue for fuel today has gone unabated ...cars lined up all day long and into this evening... just as it was when I got there this morning soon after they opened..I waited 20 minutes in the queue....

Wow, Hollydolly... we are in Texas. We just paid $2.79 per gallon. If they were going to plug the hose in the gas ground they'd plug it in here...lol.
£2.79 a Gallon ? so incredbly low...... that's because you don't rely on someone else to supply you I suppose.... ... it's £6.00..and .some change...... per gallon here...which is around $8.00 USD approx... :(

ArnoldC...know what you mean. Couldn't log in for a while but hopefully it's ok. Suggest reseting your password if all else fails.

Been absorbed in Time Travel books. Love the ones by Elyse Douglas. Sometimes they go back to the 40's and sometimes it's the late 1800's. It's keeping me from my work - that's the main issue....ha ha.

Learned once you change email addresses its hard as @#$% getting back on. Hopefully now I'm in, gal. Missed you!!!
I know what you mean ...it's happened to me in the past and also if I clear cookies... then I've lost my log in details .. and couldn't remember the password for the forum.... lol... now I hav it written down...

I'm very happy to see you back... 🤗

@hollydolly, you are indeed very stoic and not the type to complain, so when you say the pain is bad I realize it must indeed be very bad. @StarSong, I know exactly what you mean about compensating when one part of the body hurts. I remember you mentioning plantar fasciitis in a different thread. I've struggled with that, too, and during flare-ups I have adjusted my gait/weight and ended up with knee and/or hip pain.

I met one deadline but am staring down three more. I really just want to go to bed at this point! My sleeping habits these past few days have not been good: I've been up quite early to start work, taking afternoon naps (not good—they throw off my schedule), drinking too much coffee (also not good), and stress eating (uggghhhhh!). When my sleep schedule goes off kilter I get more susceptible to depression and anxiety.

I am hoping to be back on track by this time tomorrow. 🤞

Monday ,, hubby & I made trip back to Erie,PA to get, rebuilt snow plow part.
Was a sunny day which made the trip plesant.

Stopped at a very large grocery store,,, looking hubby's favorite mouth wash.
They didn't have any.
We did walk round the store picking up few items.

Today went with hubby to see the prostate doctor.
Hubby has to have biopsy.
Will call to give us the date for that.

Tomorrow morning we got get his ears tested.
Will be interesting what we learn from that.

I think hubby has been 'hard 'of heading 'since child hood.

Good news is snow about all gone.
Raining & yard is very muddy.

Just because there were ATV tracks in the snow, didn't mean for folks to drive through with there cars or trucks!!!

Hope all is well with everyone.

About a week ago I mentioned that I took a fall near our creek and my smartphone fell in the water. I took it apart and dried it. Everything seemed to work except the camera. Looky now :
