@Happyflowerlady I know that your suggestions are well-intended, but your solutions are not workable/practicable for the situation.
Just like the fog from an east breeze coming off the cold North Sea, our Pacific Coast north of Santa Cruz is frequently foggy spring through summer. Of course, lots of British visit San Francisco that can be especially cool, foggy, and breezy. Expect, you'd like it. Prime urban destination for vacationer's escaping their summer heat. This last weekend spent 2 afternoons at a lively San Francisco street art/music festival often dancing so am a bit slow and burned out this morning. San Francisco has an abundance of healthy, fit, attractive young women.that picture looks very British ...![]()
You always have to be diligent in checking others work. It's certainly frustrating considering the amount of money attorneys charge. Of course the spread sheet was probably prepared by an intern working for free, but the lawyer will probably want billable hours when you call to discuss. My God, my lawyer has just sent me an Excel spreadsheet with figures ready for discussion tomorrow morning... I'm tearing my hair out here because there's 3 blatant and potentially catastrophic errors on it..... sometimes I wonder how people get to be so incompetent especially when they're getting paid to be the opposite...
@birdy , I was going to do mine the other day too, but only got the first shelf washed. The one with the milk.I just did my fridge the other day. I am actually part way through cleaning it. I still have the a few shelves on the door.
it never occurred to me that it may be a clerk.. altho' I doubt in this case.. however if it was its still unforgivable that it wasn't checked before being sent out.You always have to be diligent in checking others work. Exactly , I'm presuming from her mail.. that it's as she says since he's clearly not being honest and she can't trace where he's hidden finances... quote ''I have a real concern that unless he agrees to be honest and give us the disclosure we will not be in a position to settle financial matters''.Hmm that is worrisome. What does that mean "can't go forward?"
yep exactly what I've been thinking... but I just simply can't afford that....You need a forensic attorney/accountant, @hollydolly
Well, we got home from town without rain.@Trila It's a nice day here, too. Our rain is supposed to start in earnest tonight. Helps with the water bill.
Don't panic yet. Hoping someone chimes in who knows something about these things.Exactly , I'm presuming from her mail.. that it's as she says since he's clearly not being honest and she can't trace where he's hidden finances... quote ''I have a real concern that unless he agrees to be honest and give us the disclosure we will not be in a position to settle financial matters''.
well if he was going to be honest he would have been so..on his disclosures thus far which are clearly fake... .. I thought it was down to lawyers to find these hidden assets or accounts when it was clear they were not being produced..
I actually feel a bit sick..panicking here now.. thinking I may have to pay for another lawyer and go through all this again.. and we're running short of time before the court date..
well..she's got me panicking by saying that unless he comes clean she can't see a way to go forward....Don't panic yet. Hoping someone chimes in who knows something about these things.
Who knows about these things from the perspective of British Law. I worked in Family Court, and we did this all the time.Don't panic yet. Hoping someone chimes in who knows something about these things.

Wow, talk about red flags! What a delima too, do you fire what appears to be an incompetent attorney and start over, or plunge ahead hoping for the best? I wish you good luck. Now the lawyer has got the hump probably because I've corrected her, despite me being pleasant about it... She's sent me another mail saying.. that as he's not being honest with his income, his finances or financial needs going forward.. and she can't get hold of certain other info then ''we may not be able to go forward with the settlement of the financial issues''..
I'm very concerned indeed ... surely this is very common for one or both parties to lie and hide their financial information. ... how can she even consider not going further forward if he's not more honest...
Rhetorical question obviously.. but I'm really worried now...
ETA I wonder if she's drunk working from home.. after I corrected her about the first 3 mistakes... on her reply.. she did the same thing and made 2 more spelling mistakes..one in my O/h's name... and the other in the name of the ***** he has living with him
thank you... !Wow, talk about red flags! What a delima too, do you fire what appears to be an incompetent attorney and start over, or plunge ahead hoping for the best? I wish you good luck.
Oh don't worry I will... I just wish now that the meeting was now and not tomorrow morning. I won't sleep now, and I won't be on my best game when we have the meeting (zoom)Demand Answers
that’s hogwash from the lawyer. She may not be able to go forward with the division as it was planned for tomorrow. She knows things don’t just end because your X has lied. If she doesn’t give you a satisfactory explanation on what to do next, demand to speak to a senior lawyer.well..she's got me panicking by saying that unless he comes clean she can't see a way to go forward....![]()
