Note to self: keep sharps away from @hawkdon.

@hollydolly When you're done at Hawkie's place, truck on over here. I've got a few things you could finish up for me.

The weed & feed has been spread. I found some grass seed and spread it in spots where the fungus or heat or bugs or something has left bare spots. Right now the forecast says "heavy" rain starting around 6:30-7 and continuing all night. It had better because that stuff needs to be watered in. I can do without the flash flooding, though.

School starts here a week from tomorrow.

Just five months from today is Christmas Eve. Have y'all started your shopping yet?

I have no-one to shop for...that's really sad... I love to buy Christmas gifts, but there's no-one left to buy for. My daughter never wants any gifts.. at all.. I always give her money, regardless ... but even that she 'll say she doesn't want to exchange gifts at all... totally sad for me because it means I don't get anything either.. which tbh.. I never had Christmas as a child, so I love it as an adult... and now with no-one to buy for or receive from.. it's very, very sad..

Well, well, well....my day with my son/grandson just ended. On Friday, I will be babysitting for son/dil 'date nite,' and staying over. I've never slept over there before, but they want to go to a concert (Debbie Gibson, a dil favorite), have dinner, etc. so will get home late. Usually it is her parents for these occasions, as they have a spare apt. close to where son lives and get the late night duties. My grandson is excited about grandma (me) staying over. That was real warm to see, that he was so happy I will be staying over.

They bowled today, and thank goodness grandson forgot he said he wouldn't bowl unless I did. Oh what a mess that would have been, what a mess.

~ Emptied and washed out the litter box then readied the garbage for my son to take out on.his way to work (3:30 a.m.)

~Called my cardiologist's office to try and track down why I didn't receive the scheduled tele-visit call. Got transferred to two other offices, then a supervisor. Turns out she had called early while my phone, that had died, was rebooting after being charged.

~ Sorted laundry which I had intended to take down after midnight but it's supposed to storm.

~ Had a long conversation with my granddaughter, We even stayed on the phone while she walked to the drugstore and back to the dorm ( it was after 8:00 p.m.). She witnessed a driver hit an unoccupied car then just kept going.

Going for a day out with eldest son and youngest granddaughter today. We're getting the train to Lancaster (1 hour away). Looking forward to it as it's my first day out since before Covid lockdown! I was awake early - as usual - so I've had my breakfast, washed the pots, put out the dustbins/recycling etc. and finally made myself look half presentable. I can now have half an hour on the computer before getting a lift to the train station.

Up very early this morning due to a certain bunny trying to wake me up because he drank all the water in his bowl. It is okay because I went to sleep earlier last night due to a storm. Unplugged my electronics so I could not watch the television. Having coffee right now and will be watching my videos on YT that I could not watch last night.

We can safely say that the weed & feed and grass seed have been well watered. I didn't roll outta bed until 6:30 so haven't seen the local news and don't know if there were any serious problems caused by last night's rain.

This morning I'm going to try to make myself clean the biology experiments out of the fridge. No telling what's growing in there. It's all @Jules' fault! As a reward for completing Adventures in the Fridge, I'll be wending my way down to see DS/DSIL for lunch. DS said they're making enchiladas with enough to send some home with me. Goody.

Oh since covid ?... WoW ! I hope you have a fabulous day....

Off to buy some wallpaper, or more correctly, ceiling paper. It's a while since I papered a ceiling and that was in a small room. The lounge is much bigger, so it might be 'fun' when I get round to it. I've a bit more prep work to do before I start.
My ceiling needs doing too.....the paper is starting to sag very slightly.. after years of paint.... but decorators are charging an arm and a leg these days...

It's past 1 pm here... very dull and overcast, honestly there is no sign of July, it's more like November... 🙃

There's a possibility of rain, but if it doesn't rain in the next hour I'll go and finish the painting of the one last Trellis..

Got a letter asking me to book my appointment for the knee specialist. It's called Choose & book for anyone who doesn't know.. and they give you a choice of hospitals to decide which you'd rather attend. It's usually the same consultant at any of the hospitals..
For this appointment they've given me a choice of 5 hospital.. 4 of them in London, so they're difficult to get to, and one in my county.. which has a long waiting list.. so we'll see how that goes !

I'll book that today..

Morning folks.....up since 5am, but moving very slowly today,
for some reason, ah well....got laundry to do today, cannot think
of any other pressing stuff, 'cept i got to call the guy who does
the limb cutting and cleanup work for me....dunno what i am
up to for rest of day tho, feel sorta just blah today, tho no
reason to....anyhoo catch you later..... :coffee: ;)

Finished.. at last.. just got the last Trellis painted when the rain started.. ..so I put the trellis into the barn so it can dry. It's only spitting of rain really, so hopefully it doesn't come to much and I can get the trellis back up on top of the fence as soon as it dries...
