GG, once again you’ve taught me a new word. Maybe what I’ve said, heaven forbid, is more regional.heaven forfend
heaven forfend is used a lot in the UK...as are ''Wellies''....GG, once again you’ve taught me a new word. Maybe what I’ve said, heaven forbid, is more regional.
forgot to say Heaven forbid, is used more often than forfend.. but the latter is still quite common...GG, once again you’ve taught me a new word. Maybe what I’ve said, heaven forbid, is more regional.
yep...I think you;re really a Brit born into a Georgiagranny body....@Jules and @hollydolly Maybe I'm really a Brit who's been teleported somehow to the US? I'm the only person I know who says heaven forfend, and I really do have a pair of Wellies.
Aww, sorry Don. I don't believe in "signs". Hopefully the camera is ok.Well P**p, I just had a nice Hawk on clothes line pole out
back, camera was right there, so attempted a picture, hands
shaking so much from these meds that I dropped the camera,
scared the hawk away, and seems to have broken the camera....so is that a sign??
Dio hates that I'm always running for a camera. I miss so much, because I'm trying to take a picture. He is trying to teach me that not everything is a Kodak Moment.....just enjoy it for what it is.Well P**p, I just had a nice Hawk on clothes line pole out
back, camera was right there, so attempted a picture, hands
shaking so much from these meds that I dropped the camera,
scared the hawk away, and seems to have broken the camera....so is that a sign??
Hi RadishRose, that fox is not coming around lately, been 3 days at least since I've seen it, maybe today who knows!!!Aww, sorry Don. I don't believe in "signs". Hopefully the camera is ok.
Maybe the hawk will come back and give you another chance.
How is Foxy-Loxy doing?
Well, they've been played with many times over so they're a little worse for wear. Now the dream house and the sports car, maybe but not much. They're not in new condition either. I'd love to find a family of little girls who could use them. Those could be worth a pretty penny. Hope you can sell them.
Don’t pay attention to the people with problems. They go online to write because things are bad. The majority are smooth sailing. If you don’t have it, you’ll be blind.
I've been making refrigerator pickles. The grands like the sour, DH likes the sweet.Today we made ‘sweet cucumber relish.’
We have been growing vegetables and had an abundance of cucumbers so today we decided to make some relish out of some of them. It turned out really good. We got 5 - 1/2 litre jars or 500 millilitres. We’ll probably make some more in a few days. It has ACV in it as well as turmeric in it so is extra healthy. View attachment 361141
I thought it was a typo but I'm just not cultured. I had to look it up.GG, once again you’ve taught me a new word. Maybe what I’ve said, heaven forbid, is more regional.
Insurance is just going through the roof everywhere. I have a very good deal with my Car insurance people.. half what I was paying with Direct Line..who couldn't match this one..and I've been with them 4 years now, and they only raised my premiums by £10 each year..until this year when they've raised it £40.. It's still vastly cheaper than others, but still.. it's a lot to find extra..Just received a renewal quote for my house and contents insurance. It was up 50% on last year. They've just lost another customer.
Up since three, but at least my shoulders don't hurt. That was driving me up a wall. Very high glucose due to cortisone, and that woke me up thirsty, very thirsty, stomach ache, needed emergency insulin.
Get rid of one problem, along comes another.
Speaking of problems, I'm taking AccessARide twice today but since last week's rides were so normal, I have hope. Spending roof pool day with son/grandson. Love roof pool day. Love roof, incredible view, see all of Manhattan, both rivers, Jersey & Queens too! See Met Museum, Central Park. Expecting nice happy day despite my exhaustion, stomach ache and AAR.
